The horned folk, as they were called, were a rare sight in the Indo Empire. Though they were officially recognized as citizens, they were often shunned and feared by the people. It was said that they were cursed by the gods, that their horns were a symbol of their wickedness.

But Creg knew the truth. He was one of the few horned folk who had traveled outside of his homeland in Mistipia. He had seen the way his people were treated, the way they were hunted and killed by the Church's army.

As they traveled deeper into the mountains, Creg and his companions finally reached a small village nestled in a valley. There, they purchased horses and continued on their journey to the capital.
