Eugene then announced his idea of forming a diplomatic alliance with Conley not only a military and trade alliance he wanted to open up Westrosia to the world, to which Lain questioned why he was diving headfirst into this without using politics to solve problems, as he always had in the past.

Eugene looked at his mother with a pained expression. "People died, mother, because I was too soft. I don't want to play that game anymore. I want to use my power to make a real difference in this world, to protect the people I love and care for."

Aria placed a comforting hand on Eugene's shoulder, while Neil nodded in agreement. "Darling, I believe this is a wise decision. It is time for Westrosia to take a more active role in the world and form strong alliances to ensure our safety."
