Capítulo 5: Ep.5 Magic Shop
Once Mike had left the examination room he went back to the front desk and asked the attendant
"Hi I'm looking to buy a building for me to open a shop"
The attendant smiled and said before typing away on the keyboard
"Certainly, what's the nature of your shop?"
Mike said as the attendant kept typing something out on his keyboard
"Magic Shop where I can sell spells and magical items"
The attendant frowned before saying
"I wouldn't recommend that you open a magic shop as hunter items, skills and spells are already hard to obtain in a dungeon"
Mike nodded and said without hesitation
"I know that, even so I still want to open one"
The attendant let out a sigh and said he he turned the screen to show Mike a list of possible locations
"These are open locations that you can order a construction crew to build your shop"
Mike took a look and noticed one was almost right around the corner to his apartment building for $40,000 and said as he pointed at it
"I would like to buy this plot for my store"
The attendant looked at the screen and saw which one Mike pointed at and said
"Wonderful, I will send notice to the owner of that plot to inform them that you would like to purchase it"
Mike smiled and said as he gave the attendant his phone number
"Please give them my phone number for when they wish to call me to meet"
The attendant smiled and said before Mike left to go back home
"Thank you and have a nice day"
2 days later
Mike finished cooking some pancakes when he received a call from a unfamiliar number and answered it saying
"Hello this is Mike speaking"
Shortly after Mike heard a woman say
"Hi this is May greens and I have been given notice that you would like to buy a plot that I have listed with the Hunters Initiative"
Mike smiled and said as he turned off the stove and sat down with his pancakes
"Yes I am, do you think you have time today to meet. I live close by"
May then said over the phone while Mike kept eating his pancakes
"Yes I have time today I can be there in an hour if that works"
Mike swallowed the last pancake before he said as he looked at the briefcase of the 80k
"Yea that works and I would be able to pay with straight up cash right?"
After some silence may said over the phone while mike started getting dressed
"I will need to notify the Hunters initiative so that they can oversee our arrangements for the plot just so there aren't any issues"
Mike smiled and said before he hung up
"That's fine with me, better to resolve any issues beforehand now I have to get ready I'll be there in a 4 or 5 hour's after I go shopping"
Mike separated 30 grand worths from the 80k and took a look in the mirror and said to himself as he looked at his clothes
'I should get some better clothes to wear so they take me seriously, plus I need some groceries for tonight'
After a 3 hour shopping spree Mike returned home wearing a full tailored suit with a black tie while carrying multiple bags of groceries and personal items before he put away everything and picked up the suitcase with the 50k in cash and left to go see the building he was going to buy from May and after a short walk he reached the building to see that it was a slightly rundown corner store with some cracks in the bricks before he saw a closed sign before Mike knocked on the door and heard a woman say
"Be right there!"
After a minute of waiting the door opened for Mike to see a woman that was African American who was wearing sweat pants and a sweater before Mike showed the suitcase and said
"Hi I'm Mike grant, May I came in?"
May looked Mike up and down before she opened a soda can and said
"By all means, I will call the hunters initiative and ask them to send a examiner to look over our exchange"
Mike entered the shop to see nearly a dozen empty shelves and a small lounge area and a front counter with a staircase behind it and asked as he started looking around
"What happened to your shop?"
May let out a sigh and said as she stared at a photo of her and an elderly lady sitting next to her before she started to call the hunters initiative
"This was my grandmothers shop before she died from the emergence and I have tried to keep the store open but as you can see I left this business and have been trying to sell it"
Once May started the call Mike asked the system as he ran his finger through a shelf to have it collect some dust from it
'System, how long and how much would it take to build my magic shop?'
The system showed a picture of a penguin holding a sledgehammer and a ticket before saying

10 minutes later a knock was heard on the front door and May got up and opened it to reveal a lady wearing a black suit with the hunters Initiatives symbol on her jacket and said
"Hello I was sent from the Hunter Initiative to oversee an exchange of this property"
May stepped to the side and said before the woman enter the door to took a look around and saw Mike
"Yes, please come in"
Mike then said as he placed and then opened the briefcase with the 50 grand on the counter
"Hi so let's get to business, I wish to buy this property and I will be paying in cash for a total amount of 50 thousand"
May was confused and said as she looked at the money
"I listed it as 40 thousand dollars not 50"
Mike nodded and slid the briefcase over the the examiner and said
"I know I just want to demonstrate how much I would like to buy this property"
The examiners eyes glowed a light blue as she looked at the money and confirmed that it was real and looked at Mike for a moment before she slid the money over to May and said
"I have confirmed that this money is genuine and that Mr.Grant here is sincere"
May was flabbergasted before she closed the briefcase and said
"Wow… ok then let's get the paperwork signed and then the place is yours"
The examiner pulled of a document and a pen in seconds and said as she slid it to May
"Then sign here to transfer all ownership rights to Mr.Grant and collect any and all personal property from the premises"
May signed and said before she bowed and left out the door with the suitcase
"I collected my personal belongings yesterday so thank you Mr.Grant and goodbye"
One May left the examiner turned to Mike and slipped a photo to Mike and said
"GuildMaster Scarlet Goldren of the majestic beasts would like to set a meeting with you"
Mike looked at the photo and saw a lady who looked to be in her late twenties wearing a tracksuit with a purple ponytail before he asked the examiner
"why would they wish to meet with me? I haven't even seen them yet"
The examiner lady shook her head and said before she left
"The Vice-GuildMaster Violet Goldren says that you two have met and that she gave you her guild card when she saw you at the Hunters initiative headquarters"
Mike then realized who she was talking about and had begun to panic a little when the system asked Mike
[would you like to use you magic shop token?]
Mike only nodded before he left to go back home when he heard the system say
[renovations and changes will be completed in 24 hours]
