Capítulo 42: Ep.42 The Glutton and more books
The next morning Mike woke up to a knock on the front door before he got up and opened it to see Jimmy and Christine with a moving truck behind them and said as he stood to the side for them to enter the house
"Did you guys pack up your place all throughout the night?"
Jimmy looked exhausted as he said
"She wanted to move in as soon as possible because of Raiu, speaking of which where is Raiu?"
Mike said as Christine immediately began to search for Raiu
"She's sleeping in the backyard and I'll cook some breakfast, pancakes or eggs?"
Jimmy felt too tired to speak and flopped onto the couch and waved Mike off to say anything works
Mike smiled a little before he opened the kitchen window to see Christine pampering Raiu again before he yelled out saying
"I'm making breakfast! Eggs or pancakes?"
Christine said before she went back to pampering Raiu
"Pancakes please!"
Mike chuckled before he started to make the pancake batter and after it was finished he started to making the pancake's when he started to receive a call on his phone and put it on speaker and answered saying
"Hello this is Mike, who is this?"
mike then heard his uncle say over the phone
"Hey Mike it's your uncle"
Mike was happy to hear his uncles voice and said as he flipped over a pancake
"Hey uncle Tim, what can I do for you?"
Tim then said as Mike could hear some other noise in the background that sounded like Tim was watching a sparring match
"You've been busy with the hunter stuff yeah? But I'm just calling to check on you and say for you to visit the gym once in awhile"
Mike was surprised and said
"Your still running the gym? What's it been now 20 years?"
Tim laughed and said
"27 years actually but yeah I'm still managing it, we all miss you little champ so come stop by when you got the chance"
Mike smiled and said as he flipped the last pancake onto the plate and turned off the stove
"I would love to but I have to attend to my store for the day, maybe some other time I'll drop by"
Tim felt a little disappointed but said before he hanged up the phone with Mike
"Well just make sure to drop by to say hi to me and the pals here just like before"
Mike smiled before he noticed Samantha walking down the stairs in some PJ's before she sat down at the table and said as she was half awake not realizing that ginormous stacks of pancakes
"Good morning….. pancakes?"
Mike tapped jimmy's head before jimmy took a sniff in the air and immediately jumped up screaming like a little boy
"I smell pancakes! Gimme gimme gimme!"
However before jimmy could grab one Mike grabbed his shirt and said
"Same as always….. wait till Christine comes to sit down"
Not even a moment later Christine opened the door to the backyard and immediately ran over to the table and sat down with Mike and the others before Mike pulled out a separate plate of pancakes for Raiu and placed them outside before he too sat down and the table and saw jimmy and Christine eagerly waiting for Mike like a dog waiting for its food but Mike looked at Samantha and said
"Samantha gets first picks as she hasn't eaten my cooking yet"
Both jimmy and Christine were furious before they gave death glares to Samantha and said in unison
"Hurry up"
Samantha felt her skin crawl and quickly grabbed a few pancakes before she cut off a piece and tasted it to be surprised by the taste and of how soft they were as they broke apart in her mouth before jimmy and Christine started stacking their plates so high with pancakes that there was nothing left in seconds having none left for Mike however Mike expected this outcome was bound to happen and pulled out another two plates stacked with pancakes and saw Raiu wanted seconds and passed Raiu a second plate stacked with pancakes and patted her head before she begun to devour the food
Mike smiled as he found Raiu to be enjoying the meal before he placed the remaining plate at the table to see any and all pancakes gone from earlier and just as jimmy and Christine were reaching for them Mike hit their hands and said as he could see Samantha drooling at the pancakes
"You two have had enough, do you want some more sam?"
Sam didn't hesitate and nodded before Mike took a few from the plate and placed them on her plate to see jimmy and Christine eyeing them like vultures before she noticed the stack in front of Mike was nearly her own height before she asked Mike as she kept eating to keep Jimmy and Christine at bay from stealing her food
"How did you make this much food?"
Mike ignored her and began to devour the plate in front of him while defending off jimmy and Christine as they kept trying to steal a single pancake even though they could easily get a few more if they had used their abilities they chose not to use them in the house as it would be against the rules they have set Up
The scene in front of Samantha reminded her of a documentary of a few lions fighting over a deer carcass before Mike swallowed the last pancake whole and said as he took all the plates to the sink
"So Sam you said you are working today? Maybe I can give you a lift?"
Sam had her fill of the pancakes and let Jimmy and Christine take what was left before she said
"If you don't mind usually I have to take three busses to get there since it's on the other side of town, it's a cafe on 557 wholly drive and apparently there's a magic book store that had opened across the street from us"
Mike, jimmy and Christine heard this and started to laugh before Samantha asked
"What's so funny?"
Mike stopped laughing and said
"I know the cafe since I own that bookstore, talk about a small world"
Samantha was surprised and said to Mike
"So your the one Cecil has the hots for? I don't get it"
Mike smiled and said as he put the dishes in the sink
"We'll go and get ready I'm leaving in 10 minutes after I change"
Samantha nodded and immediately went upstairs to change and once they heard Samantha's door close jimmy and Christine immediately stopped laughing and turned to Mike as Christine said
"Why are you being so nice to her?"
Mike turned his head and said before he too went upstairs to change
"She hasn't done anything wrong yet so I'm just acting as anyone should"
Jimmy and Christine smiled and were happy as they saw their friend hadn't left them
After nearly twenty minutes Mike was waiting in his car comforting Raiu while he waited for Samantha till she came out the front door and asked Mike who opened the car door for Samantha to get in
"Sweet ride, how fast can we get there"
Mike laughed and said as he turned the ignition and drive off
"Don't worry, we'll get there"
After a short drive Mike saw his store and the cafe before he noticed the same idiotic bikers waiting outside of Cecil's cafe before Mike turned off the engines and yelled as he got out of the car
"Hey! You punks better not be back to cause a problem again!"
However instead of yelling and throwing punches at Mike all twenty of them got on their hands and knees as they said in unison
"We have come to apologize!"
Mike looked at Samantha who was utterly stunned by the situation as these bikers have been harassing them for over 3 years to suddenly see them on their hands and knees before Mike saw Cecil at the door way looking at the situation before Mike went over and asked Cecil as they both looked at the bikers
"You know why they are suddenly apologetic?"
Cecil shook her head and said before she handed Mike a cup of hot chocolate with some whipped cream
"No they just came and asked for you so I guess they were waiting for you, here's some hot coco"
Mike hugged her before he walked back over to his car and sat on the hood in front of the bikers and said
"I have a question for you guys, why are you guys here to apologize? From what I've heard you guys have been doing this for awhile"
One of the bikers loosened up his jacket and showed a part of his chest to reveal a tattoo of a axe with a skull at the base of the handle and said
"We had a change in management and the new boss made us come here to apologize after we got these tattoos"
Mike looked at the tattoo and smiled before he said to the bikers as they got on their bikes
"Fine just don't come back here with any more problems or I'll make sure you'll regret it"
Once the bikers were gone and Sam and Cecil entered the cafe Mike entered his store and checked his inventory for spells he had

Mike looked at his books then at the empty shelves before he had an idea and asked the system
"Can I only earn points if I sell my books here?"
The system hastily replied as Mike went into the crafting room and began to craft a few lesser strength boosts and some Moon Walk books as well
[Negative, you will earn points if you sell them at other establishments within the legal system]
Mike smiled as he thought of the perfect way to get points while he could do some dungeon raids and called scarlet and said once it was answered
"Hey scarlet, is your mom able to meet me at my store? I have a proposal for her"
Scarlet was curious and asked Mike
"What do you want from her? And my guild is having another dungeon raid in two days if you would want to join for obvious reasons"
Mike knew she was talking about the training room and said as he continued on crafting while occasionally taking a break to replenish his Mana
"I just want to offer a little something for her to sell in her auction house and I would be available for the dungeon raid so count me in"
Scarlet put the phone of hold and asked her mother who was sitting next to her
"Mike wants to have the auction house sell something he has, are you available for the evening? He wants you to come to his shop and take a look"
Cindy was very interested and said as she got up to get ready
"Tell him we'll be there soon"
Scarlet said as Mike was taking a break from crafting
"We'll be there with in the hour"
Mike smiled and said as he stared at the crate full of spell books he had just created before he hung up
"I'll be waiting"
Within an hour Mike heard a knock on his store door and opened it to see scarlet and her mother wearing hoodies and baseball caps to hide themselves from the public eye before Mike let them in and said as they moved to the lounge area
"I'll get straight to the point I have spells and skill books that I want you to auction off and if you doubt if their real then ask your daughter"
Cindy sat across from Mike and said
"I'll have to see the product to give you my answer"
Mike nodded and said as he started stacking some spell and skill books on the table
"Very well, I'm wanting you to auction off 32 spells all common rating and 20 skills that are also common and 1 rare skill"
Cindy started laughing before she said
"How amusing young man where did you even get this many hunter skills and spells from"
Mike pointed at scarlet who was overwhelmed with the number of books he had and said
"I can't tell you how but your daughter will confirm there very real"
Cindy just glanced at scarlet to she her nodded before she realized all these books were real and asked Mike
"I will trust my daughter but you said you had a rare skill? Could I see it?"
Mike trusted Cindy enough to show her and scarlet the [Falling star] Skill book before he said while looking at scarlet
"And yes these are going to be added later to the shelves however I can't guarantee they are rare, I just got lucky with this one but I might be adding some uncommon ones to the shelves soon"
Cindy looked at the book and felt the magic imbued into it and said as he handed it over to Mike
"I can feel the magic in it and I can tell it's real so
Let's talk about profit percentage how does 15 to 85 of course you would get the latter"
Mike shook his head and said
"I'll only do 50-50 since I'll earn money here and from Dungeons and this way it will be a way to say thank you to scarlet for allowing me to join her on dungeon raids"
Cindy stared at Mike for awhile before he asked him
"Are you sure? A rare skill often sells for millions on the market?"
Mike nodded and said as he opened a can of soda from the vending machine
"Money doesn't worry me but just know I get something just as important as money out of it"
Cindy was surprised that Mike cared very little about money as most men she has met in her time as being an auctioneer would always be hungry for more and said as she started putting all of the common books in her inventory
"Very well come by on Friday afternoon next week with that rare skill as well for the auction and I will personally be the auctioneer for these items"
Mike smiled and said as he showed Cindy and scarlet to the door and said before they left
"See you later and don't forget to drop by tomorrow when I open my shop"
After scarlet and Cindy left Mike looked up and said
"Nym was it? You need to hide a little more for
Me not to notice"
Nym deactivated his cloaking skill to reveal him having some features of a lizard and looked at Mike before he said
"How did you know?"
Mike tapped his nose and said
"I have a friend who's obsessed with reptiles so I can smell one when it's close and that you were a little noisy when scarlet had arrived which means your either her hidden body guard or you like her but don't have the balls to say it"
Nym was shocked and asked Mike as he got on his knees
"Please don't tell her! I beg you!"
Mike lifted Nym to his feet and patted him on the shoulder before he said
"If you want her to see you then never bend the knee to anyone and don't worry, I won't tell her as I don't have those kind of feelings for her so cheer up"
Nym was relieved and bowed to Mike before he activated his cloaking skill and ran off before mike scratched his head and went into his shop where he continued to craft and gain some uncommon books in the mix of normal common ones for the day
