Capítulo 12: Chapter 11
Addy
Addy left the bedroom chuckling to herself after wiping away the fake tears, she enjoyed scaring the shit out of Raven making her believe that she is this evil demon person in all honesty it was just added cranberry juice to the whiskey to make it seem like it was lethal and messing with her. But now since Raven dumped all the alcohol including their honeymoon wine it seemed fine to her since she assumed Raven was binge drinking while away in New York with her friends, though she wasn't any better but Raven is known for not holding her alcohol very well. Addy wanted fun when Raven wanted this big serious commitment though she knew where her heart belongs, she only came back to return the engagement ring and be back with Harley for good.
Addy knew Harley didn't need sex to be happy unlike Raven, Celeste and Lisa it is much more than that with Harley their love is something that no one would understand an that is where jealousy comes in from the others. Addy grabbed herself some coffee slowly sipping it and making a bowl of cheerios just to make her smile of her childhood when her dad would suggest those are doughnut seeds it made her laugh a little inside of the memory. Finishing off her cereal Addy placed everything in the sink and cleaned the table, heading to the computer in the living room to see what she can find out about Harley and Celeste coming this way next week. Unfortunately, it seemed Harley or Celeste hadn't answered Raven's last message though Raven being a high maintenance bitch has made that seem impossible. Addy wanted to write Harley but she needed to see her first and foremost that she would come back to New York to be with her.
Addy felt time ticking away as she couldn't stand not being near Harley let alone hearing her soothing voice calming her from anxiety and with her count down to a wedding she didn't want it is eating at her. Addy thought scaring Raven would get her to end the engagement but it has only edge them closer together and doesn't help she plays dumb to get Raven to tell her what is wrong, when she knows what she is doing to scare Raven. Addy heard footsteps coming up behind her as she took a deep breath and felt her hands on her shoulders.
"Addy, it is time to get ready for Sasha's wedding, we are expected to attend the ceremony to give her away to Stacy." Raven said shaking.
"Raven, you can go. I want to stay here." Addy replied.
"Okay, I am going to get on my bridesmaid gown. I wouldn't be surprised if Harley and Celeste showed up unannounced since they couldn't get me a chance to say that me and my sister are different." Raven responded sighing.
"Than I will go with hopes to see Harley even though we are to be down the aisle soon ourselves." Addy replied calmly.
"About that...you need to remove you're engagement band." Raven responded revealing she took hers off.
"Why?" Addy asked.
"You can pack up and leave after the wedding. I am done being scared out of my life by you. Yes, Addy, I figured it out. Our engagement is over." Raven responded.
"No, you can't be serious? Raven, our wedding is next week. You can't end our relationship right now." Addy begged.
"Shut up, SHUT UP! You love Harley and moping around here also playing head games has proved it. So, get your shit and get out of my home." Raven responded calmly as possible.
Addy took a deep breath just sitting there at the computer. Surprising to learn that there is no wedding anymore for them but it seems reasonable all she thought about was Harley since she arrived back in Virginia Beach and being in love with someone else is not fair to any partner you once loved. Add took off her engagement ring and placed it on the desk than went to pack everything that she had brought from New York, her parents home, and everything else plus called a U-Haul for her to go get to place everything inside that is when Raven stopped her mid-way through.
"You aren't going far especially with Harley just as a heads up. You will have a new apartment here about two hours from everyone including me and Sasha." Raven said.
"What is that supposed to mean? I want to go back to New York if at all possible." Addy replied unable to comprehend.
"You will find out when we arrive for Sasha's wedding and see Harley yourself since more than likely my sister had to correct her information. Oh yeah, Sasha called saying that she did arrive in the middle of the ceremony. So, you get you're new bride anyways." Raven responded gritting her teeth.
"Fine, then let's go before it is more of a wreck for Sasha and Stacy." Addy replied.
Addy grabbed Raven by the hand, getting in the car, and heading down to the church where it is supposed to be held but Addy saw no signs for the wedding, she got confused.
"Where is Sasha and Stacy's wedding?" Addy asked.
"Hidden." Raven replied.
"Hidden, where?" Addy asked again.
"You will find out as soon as you can act like a lady and not a bitch all because she is here." Raven replied.
"Excuse me?" Addy felt threatened this time.
"It's true, you have been a bitch since you have arrived and now it is time for you to be a graceful lady for this wedding." Raven replied.
Addy laughed so hard that she couldn't take Raven seriously. Addy wasn't exactly being a bitch but if that made Raven believe she is, than so be it. Arriving in at this weird Coven seeing Harley made her smile, her woman wearing the perfect outfit a tight red tank top and blue jeans with boots that made her heart skip a beat. Everyone stopped and stared at Addy with Raven. Raven walked over to Sasha giving her a hug and same with Stacy.
"Well isn't this a pleasant surprise both of our leaders under one roof." Sasha said holding Stacy's hand.
"What are you talking about?" Addy replied.
"Raven didn't tell you. Harley already knows so I will tell you." Sasha responded smiling.
"Okay, than spill it." Addy replied annoyed being in the dark.
"You and Harley are the leader of our Coven Dark Souls. Meaning you are our Queen's for this place and you will own the bar too Fangs & Bites Night Club which is a few doors down from here." Sasha explained.
Addy laughed out loud that she ended up stabling herself on the ground trying to keep it together.
"We are typical human's nothing to worry about, we aren't Vampire's or anything that special." Addy said.
"That is where you are wrong, you were born into a Vampire landing with your parents." Sasha replied.
"My parents died a long time ago before they had me." Addy responded biting her tongue.
"No, you're parents are alive and well, especially your dad who raised you a good chunk of your life but you couldn't see a difference in him." Sasha explained.
"No fucking way, my parents are Vampire's?" Addy asked with a shock.
"Yes, so are Harley's but they actually died with Celeste's wife Carmella." Sasha bowed her head.
Addy and Harley watch everyone follow suit to bowing their heads of those that lost their lives. They just started looking at one another unsure if they should do the same when they were about ready to everyone lifted their heads. Addy took a deep breath knowing that asking to see her parents would be the last thing she would want to do.
"In honor of parents here, let's bring out Madison and Cameron to see their daughter Addy." Sasha said in an announcement.
Addy took a big gulp while Harley rushed over to her side whispering in comfort.
"You know you're dad it is okay. Be brave."
Addy nodded watching two mid-forty couples come forward. Madison looked gorgeous as ever with long blonde hair, bright blue eyes, a long white gown down to her feet, she looked like Addy just older version. Cameron has dark black hair that has waves, dark blue eyes, and stood a few inches taller than Addy's mom. Addy felt her breath being taken away by how lovely her parents looked together.
"Addy, these are your parents Cameron and Madison Niemann." Sasha said.
"Hello Addison." Madison said softly.
"Hello baby girl." Cameron said proudly.
Addy didn't know what to think or say. She knew Cameron whom she ended up hugging but her mom made her feel very suspicious since she has never seen the woman before.
"Hi, Dad and Madison." Addy said calmly as possible.
"Baby, that is your mom, you don't need to call her by her real name." Cameron replied defensively.
"Actually she does, I did leave you two during missions that took me years to not bother coming home. Addison, you are more than welcome to call me whatever you feel is comfortable." Madison responded.
"I am not Addison, I am Addy and have been since I was old enough to call myself that. Dad, you lied to me about having a mom so why should I bother trusting you. Madison as far as I know you are a stranger and could care less if I ever see or hear from you again. Now, back to business Sasha, when do me and Harley need to plan this wedding?" Addy replied not holding anything back.
"This wasn't exactly going as planned. Addy, you and Harley are not getting married right now it will be like a month from now since we have to go through this whole setup and everything but in the meantime, you two will be living in a loft upstairs until you're apartment is ready downtown." Sasha explained.
"Are we sleeping in separate rooms? I would prefer my privacy." Addy asked.
"No, you two are Queen's of this place, you both share a room and apartment." Sasha replied with her eyebrows raised.
"We didn't even share our room in New York, what makes you think we will here? Fuck, that shit! Harley go take the loft, I will find some place else to sleep." Addy responded without biting her tongue.
"Raven, why is she so mad? What happened between you two?" Sasha asked.
"Besides ending our engagement because of her heart belonging to Harley, I have no clue." Raven replied.
"Great, we have a pissed off Queen. Addy, are you on you're um...yeah?" Sasha asked nervously.
"Fuck if I know." Addy replied.
"Calm down, Addy. We can share the loft, I can sleep on the couch if that is what you prefer?" Harley said.
"We haven't gone on one fucking date and everyone is expecting us to share a loft, apartment, hotel, or any other arrangement. Fuck that shit!" Addy screamed into the air.
Addy knew it scared everyone when she is pissed off but she is so sick of being setup without even dating a person, hell, she was in a relationship with Raven for over five years before deciding to move on. Addy felt pushing people together only made matters worse and that this wasn't the time or place to shove her and Harley into this relationship that everyone begged for. Addy need more time to find herself and let everyone around her see that she can love when she is ready. Yes, she wants to love Harley to be deeply in love with her but Addy just wants to be alone and take everything in especially finding out her parents lied to her. Addy found an empty booth in the Coven and sat their without a care in the world as people surrounded her to convince her to calm down to be with Harley. Addy felt Harley's hand on her then tugged her upstairs into their loft as she finally stare Addy down trying to figure out all this panic coming from her.
"Why are you so hateful to those around you? They are trying to help us." Harley asked with tears threatening.
"If you hadn't noticed everyone has chosen us together when we can decide on our own. Like, I said we haven't dated. I do not wish to be Queen either. I want to be a normal human that enjoys life and takes care of herself." Addy replied.
"You don't have to be so cruel about it especially cursing up a storm there is kids down there too." Harley responded.
"Of course, innocent children, teens that have never heard of such foul language. They are fucking Vampire's, Harley. I am sure they curse just as worse as we do if not much worse." Addy replied gritting her teeth.
"Cut it out, Addy. Be respectful to the kind we would have been raised around if our parents cared too." Harley responded still fighting tears.
"Would have been, Harley. We weren't, we are human and should be treated as such. Sasha and Stacy don't need to reschedule their wedding because of us but it looks like since we own this place might as well make us ahead of their planning. Harley, I am not living under anyone's roof and we definitely aren't sharing that bed." Addy still fuming.
"All because past Queen and King's have doesn't mean we have too. Addy, I will take that couch and you can have that bed. You do need a time out and away from society for the time being." Harley suggested while holding in her tears.
"Society is what has messed up my life. I do not wish to be here and you should be feeling the same way. I do not understand why you aren't pissed off about this being forced us." Addy replied feeling her ears burn.
"As if you couldn't tell my parents aren't alive and neither is my sister-in-law, I have respect for those people down there being gentle on everything." Harley responded.
"I am sorry, Harley. Damn it, why am I so infuriated? I am not one to be so mad but since arriving here in Virginia all I have done is blown up and played hard on my ex-fiance." Addy replied biting her lip.
"It is fine as for why you are angry at the world is beyond me. You're parents didn't deserve that tonight and neither did I. We are Queen's whether we want to be or not but in this case they are letting us stay human and live life the way we choose without changing." Harley explained slowly smiling and pushing back her tears.
Addy watch Harley move closer to her with a smile as Addy reached for Harley and they cuddled on the couch with no sound in the loft. Addy finally felt safe and calm once again with Harley that she hadn't felt in days since arriving. Addy realized that Harley fell asleep on her, she reached over for the blanket that is set on the couch and covered her up then lightly got up to grab a pillow from the bedroom as they slept together on the couch for the first night in their new loft.
The following morning, Addy made a promise to herself after a peaceful night sleep that she would make it up to her parents and Harley also everyone else for being so frustrated. She knew she had to fix everything but first and foremost make breakfast for the woman that is on the couch, she felt lucky to be up so early to make eggs, bacon, pancakes, fresh orange juice, and coffee. Addy felt at peace with herself knowing that she is finally safe and away from the dangers of New York which might have set off her mood or being away from Harley hurt her, she didn't understand but she tried too while keeping thoughts to herself.
"Good morning, sunshine! What made you decide to make breakfast for us? Because it smells so amazing." Harley said yawning.
"Good morning, darling! I am in a good mood and ready to talk it out with everyone especially you on my attitude that I had for no reason whatsoever. I am ready to rule this place, it is gorgeous, and the people are great also my parents might be worth knowing including Madison, my real mom though come to think of it, my dad didn't date anyone else outside of our home growing up. But yeah, I am excited to see where our life goes." Addy replied excitedly.
"I am so happy to hear that, beautiful. First and foremost, I want us to have a slow relationship and actually develop a commitment before walking down the aisle in a couple of years because honestly, I am not ready and I have to agree we haven't dated at all to even consider ourselves Queen of any place like this. As long as you are still for that idea?" Harley asked blushing.
Addy handed Harley some coffee, her plate full of food and sat at the table across from Harley with a smile.
"I would love that, I am glad you agree because I can't imagine us taking on everything with unstable heads and we need to make us work first since I did just get out of an engagement and wedding due to my feelings for you. I feel guilty for scaring Raven but at the same, I had to, I couldn't live with life knowing I missed out on you and you're sweet atmosphere because you are so different from Celeste." Addy explained as she kept going. "Harley, all I am saying is that I have liked you from the start and I would hate to lose what we have as a beginning in this new dating life."
Addy waited with bated breath for Harley to answer though the look on her face read that she couldn't believe that Harley had her finally but in Addy's case it is more than having each other but able to love and learn about one another as friends before pushing forward into as a couple though that is what everyone is expecting isn't the case of two new people of finally being together. Addy has so much to consider on getting better for herself especially some mental help on getting everything in herself corrected over her parents abandoning her and renaming her for whatever reason they may have.
