Zoe woke up sore from her latest adventure, but it was a rare comfort not to have an immediate crisis to face.
She stretched, the morning light streaming through her window, casting soft shadows on the floor.
With a groan, she slid off the couch, her body protesting as she made her way to the bathroom.
She blinked at her reflection in the mirror, noticing how much slimmer she looked.
The weight loss was still jarring.
Zoe hadn't been small since early childhood, and the difference was surreal.
She tugged at the hem of her fitted pajama shirt, marveling at how it hugged her frame instead of covering her.
Her fingers brushed against a pair of her old jeans by the door—a relic she planned to donate.
Lifting them against her body, she stared.
They looked like they belonged to a different person entirely.
She sighed, folding them back down. "Guess I really did get the ultimate magic makeover."
