Valery went to the room of the fourth patriarch, the furniture was not the best but it was better than the third patriarch. Sometimes seeing these small changes Valery realizes that time generates progress but he also realizes that vampires live from the past.
But it's not that it was bad either if we talk about progress, most probably many inventions that humans created would never have been created by them. Maybe it would have taken a few thousand years more. Humanity was important to the vampires not only for being their food but also for how fast they ran in this race called progress.
Valery took one of the journals placed on the shelf.
The fourth patriarch was the one who found this great cave. The journals recounted the journey of the fourth patriarch to finally settle in one place in the world. It was the search for a home for their future generations.
The description of what this cave looked like thousands of years ago seems almost imaginary.
