For Adelaide, whether Victor was leaving or not was not that relevant. Although she had formed a bond with him, that bond was not yet deep enough to worry or feel sad about him leaving. So she was able to go about her work with a cool and undisturbed mind, performing excellently as if nothing had happened.
Well, she does have one small concern. That concern is about her mistress, since the morning she acted weird, more than weird it reminded her of when Valery found out about the death of her parents. Not being a fan of old blood, Valery took it as if it was the only way out in her life. She forgot about work, about thinking and even moving.
The mere memory of that month when Valery learned of the death of her parents, is a wound in her soul. Not only because of the bond they felt. But because they never felt the pain that most feel when the family head dies. They do not know why they did not feel pain.
