At a certain park... Ye Jin POV
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
*Chirp!* *chirp!* *chirp!*
"Oh, shut up!" I picked up a rock and yeeted it at a bird nearby chirping.
*Squawk* *squawk* *squawk*
"Sis, you shouldn't do that. What if the rock you threw, technically, a bullet by speed, hit people?"
"I already made sure to make sure no one would be hit by sending a pulse of mana. Kinda like echolocation, but with a wave of mana." I stood back up and ask,
"Why are you even suddenly following us to exercise," I stretched a bit and stood up, looked back at my sister. "Jin-ah?"
"You seemed to be on your high horse lately. It isn't good for me to stay and sit on a desk for too long anyway." She smiled and stretched her arm.
"Don't fall behind." Jin-woo returned the smile and said planning to overrun her anyways. "Yeah, try to catch up." I too, smiled and got into a running position.
I turn to my right and ask; "Wanna have a running competition?" asking to Jin-woo for a race. he turned to me and smirked. "Sure, I'm in."
"Ready," I back my left leg and place my right foot Infront. "Set," I lean my upper body forward, putting my left arm Infront.
"Wait! Don't leave me behind!" Jin-ah shouted, trying to stop us from leaving her behind.
I grinned as everything slowed down to my actual perception of time. "First one to lap around the plaza 10x with just base stats without anything else, wins." I said to Jin-woo. "Hey! Wait up!"
"GO."
With a burst of speed, we lapped around the park side to side. I sped up a little and was first to reach the second lap. Jin-woo gritted his teeth and sped up forcefully trying to catch up and he surprisingly surpassed me third lap.
I sped up again with droplets of sweat on my forehead. We were only using base stats so I couldn't use {Godspeed}. I won the fourth lap around with a 'close call'. After that, Jin-woo swayed his arms and legs forward crazily, matching my speed.
'Damn! Jin-woo, as Ashborn's successor sure could do anything if he wanted too. We're only using base stats and he's matching my speed, albeit barely. But...' I focused more on my speed and swung my legs and arms widely. Leaving Jin-woo behind.
"I am faster..." I muttered as I crossed the starting point of our little match. I reached the fifth round faster. We lapped around for the sixth and I started losing distance with Jin-woo. 'Is he adjusting to my speed? My speed stats surpass his and he's catching up?'
This went on until the eighth round. I started speeding up seriously when he matched my speed this round. I sped up even further. Testing for far I could reach the limits of my stats. Ninth round. Jin-woo was starting to look exhausted but still kept his top speed.
I dashed forward aiming for the first in the ninth round but Jin-woo leapt forward. I grit my teeth and start to go body override. I pushed my body forward to my maximum trying to move even faster. My heartbeat was so loud it was about the only thing I could hear at the moment. It seemed to be overworking.
Crack! Clink.
I heard something crack and break apart. As if I was chained to a boulder before, my speed went up to unknown numbers. Lightning spread from my body my chest glowed where my heart was. I was so fast I covered the distance before a Mach 522495.518528312 could pass.
<< Due to the achievement made by the player, the system has granted the player a new skill; {Light burst}. Without using mana, only with physical means, the player has surpassed a certain measure of time. >>
(A/n: Fun fact! A nanosecond is an SI unit of time equal to one billionth of a second, that is, 1⁄1 000 000 000 of a second, or 10−9 seconds. The term combines the prefix nano- with the basic unit for one-sixtieth of a minute. A nanosecond is equal to 1000 picoseconds or 1⁄1000 microsecond. That's how fast mc could travel with the new skill. Mach 522495.518528312 is 7 nanoseconds. I think?)
Time slowed down even more as I blink across the park. If it was from an outside perspective, when they look at us, I'm still there, for the next second, I disappeared and reappeared for a split second. I stopped forcefully and time resumed. The park was about a kilometre and a half if run in a circle.
Gusts of wind scattered everywhere. Jin-woo stopped too. He turned to me and asked. "Why did you stop? Tired?" with a smile. I sighed and looked him straight in the eyes. "No."
"Then why?" He asked again. "I already ran the last lap. If you didn't know, I think I just surpassed nano seconds. My brain works faster. And I feel light? Oh, and I just gained a new skill, it's called {light burst}. It allows me to travel in nanoseconds?"
He clenched his fists and, forced a smile? "Good for you, I guess? Anyways. What will we do with the estimate price of 13 billion, if proved worthy, a rise in numbers?"
I sat down on a bench nearby and spoke. "About that, we should save the money and use it only when we need too. We won't move to a bigger house since you already know, it's about mom."
I stood up again and looked if we surpassed the 10km requirement and... We did. "Hey Jin-woo? Check your quest's requirements if any of them has surpassed numbers."
He opened his 'quest requirements' panel and checked the 10km requirements, he paused for a second and thought of something before saying; "Yes? My 10km requirements are at 11km."
I stood up grinning and said ready to go another round to test out the requirement's limits? Of course, well do the other exercises too." He stretched a bit again and said "Sure. I'll beat you this time while I'm at it. And no usages of skill's" glaring at me with the end sentence.
"Ah there you are! Why did you both suddenly dash off and leave me?" Jin-ah arrived; it seems.
"Ready, set, ..." I said preparing my stance. "Wait! Don't leave me behind!" Jin-ah shouted.
"Go." And so, we left her again.

Click! Creak...
A blonde woman wearing a suit female tailored, peeked inside a room, revealing a well-built man on the phone. The man was Hwang Dong-Su.
"Fax me the information of the 3 survivors. The number is..." He was speaking about a dungeon case and placing papers in a fax machine but was quickly interrupted.
"Mister Hwang, what are you doing this hour?" The blonde asked. The man didn't turn back but still asked. "Laura, can I ask you something?"
She closed her eyes and said, "Yes, anything."
Squeak!
The fax machine consumed the papers the papers and printed out information. "What happens if I kill someone in Korea?" He asked.
Laura opened her eyes and was speechless for a second. "Are you serious?" She spoke. Sweat dropped down her forehead. She hesitated to say it but spoke it anyways with trembling hands.
"... Korea has yet to conclude the Indian treaty of criminal hunters. Since you are a hunter from America, you will receive a trial in America, and there probably won't be much hassle with the government due to negotiations."
"Thank goodness." Hwang Dong-Su finally turned his head and crushed the phone in his hands. "Some bastards killed my brother. If I don't at least catch a glimpse of them... I won't be satisfied."
He took the papers and thought, '... Brothers seven team members all died and 3 came out alive? The survivors were 2 D-ranks and an E-rank. Bro isn't the type to put his life on the line for teammates. Also, they were fillers, not normal teammates.'
'That's why I told you, you can't do anything without me...' "I'll have a visit to Korea. Can you empty my schedule for me?" He read the papers and asked Laura.
"But mister Hwang, if you leave so suddenly, the guild will become paralyzed." Laura reasoned. "When can you free my schedule?" Hwang asked. "Around 2 weeks from now on."
"2 weeks... Not even enough time to have a proper burial... Okay, empty my schedule after that point." "Do you still think this is a good idea?" She asked again. "More than anything... I hope those bastards are still alive even after 2 weeks." Hwang ripped the papers apart.
"D-rank hunter Yoo Jin-ho, E-rank hunter Sung Jin-woo, and..." He looked at Ye Jin's frame in a picture and licked his lips and said slowly. "D-rank hunter Sung Ye Jin..."

[Geumjeongsanseong] the largest fortress in Korea to date.
Narrators POV
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
It was dark. The moon hanging in the sky. Clouds accompanying it. Stars brightly light the sky, nut not enough to steal the moons glamour.
Step. Step.
A person donned with silver armour reflecting the moon with mint blue colour accents on it, glowing in the dark. Different weapons followed her. A spear, great sword, odachi, and halberd respectively. Two katanas were sheathed on her hips
(A/n: Just change the war axe into the halberd shown.)
The great sword was {Astrapi Fulmina}. The odachi was {Extensus Fulgur}. The halberd was {Gravis Tonitrui}. The spear was {Fulgur Violae}. The two katanas were {Rubrum} and {Caeruleum}.
The armour she wore... was {Platinum Conductivity}. The more electricity it absorbed, the better it's quality gets.
She brought up her arm rested on the sword on the left hip and snapped her finger.
Snap!
A silver key appeared above her hand. She snags the key and inspects it. "After I completed the quest twofold and chose blessed random box, I expected to get another key to the demon castle. Turns out I'm wrong. Guess it's different since Jin-woo picked the cursed rsndom box."
<< Item: Anchored Fortress Keys.
Class: SS
A key to a gigantic fortress in the sky, anchored by chains of unknown material. Could be activated in Geungjeong Mountain Fortress. Beware of the mountain... >>
" "Beware of the mountain..." Huh? I was expecting the thing to be a S-class item, but for it to be an SS… Is the difficulty that high? I mean, I have to consider environment, mobs, boss', and other things that might contribute to my defeat with the mountain the system asks me to beware of."
She plunged the key into the air and wafts of electricity explode in the area, constantly spreading out lightning. "Well anyways, since I have obtained this. I have no other choice than seperate from Jin-woo and raid a different dungeon. I'll hope he doesn't get beat up. But hey, the least I could ask for is the mountain would be the guardian."
Warp!
Space folded and warpped as Ye Jin found herself still on the mountain. But something was wrong. terribly wrong. The sun was high up noon and there's a city so big that it would shame the word 'gigantic', chained to the earth. "What...?" She muttered.
Quake!
The earth trembled as cracks spread though out the earth. A tail of pure white swayed out of the land and swept anything in it's reach, it destroyed a nearby mountain. Pure white wings sprung out of the earth covering the sky, flinging dust with it. The torso rose up along with the legs, trampling on earth. And finnaly, the head came out. It was draconic. Together with the body, it formed a silver dragon, shimmering from the light the sun gave. The dragon raised it's head and roared majesticly, echoing throughout the world.
"Fcc... I said the last thing I would want is a gigantic boss that is the mountain. I even prepared with armour just in case this shit happens, W-what did I do to deserve this?" She looked at the dragons frames as it's eyes looked at her as if unacknowledging her as a proper enemy, a farce.

Haha! The beggining of new Arcs have to be always epic! Only will it be beffiting of the title! I was working on this from yesterday to right now and I can say I'm quite satisfied with it. May the Gods bless you, Godspeed. Creation is hard, cheer me up! Have some idea about my story? Comment it and let me know.
