Capítulo 7: Chapter 7: The Puppeteer's Dance

The conference room was massive, a sprawling space filled with tension and power. The Justice League sat stoically on one side, with Batman's icy glare locked on William, while John Stewart kept his usual calm. Across the room, the Avengers stood in a loose formation, Tony Stark leaning back in his chair with a smirk, Pepper beside him with a cautious expression.

The X-Men had taken their own section of the room, Professor Xavier's wheelchair in the center, flanked by Cyclops, Storm, and Wolverine, whose restless posture mirrored his impatience. Lex Luthor sat near the head of the room, his impeccable suit and smug demeanor oozing arrogance. Representatives from S.H.I.E.L.D. and the World Security Council filled the remaining seats, their polished appearances barely hiding the distrust simmering beneath the surface.

And in the center of it all, William Pods, the wildcard, leaned casually against the conference table, his calm demeanor masking the storm brewing in his mind. He had waited for this moment—planned it, even—and now, he was ready to make his move.

As the murmurs of pre-meeting chatter settled into an uneasy silence, William stepped forward. He smiled, but his eyes gleamed with something unnerving.

"Let me save you all some time," he began, his voice cutting through the room. "You're all idiots."

The room fell dead silent. All eyes turned to him, and the air grew thick with tension. Batman's eyes narrowed, Wolverine growled low in his throat, and even Tony Stark raised an eyebrow, his usual smirk faltering for a moment.

"What did you just say?" Cyclops asked, his tone sharp.

"You heard me," William said, pacing slowly. "Idiots. Every last one of you. You're so busy puffing your chests and flexing your power that you haven't even realized how hopelessly outmatched you are. If you keep going like this, you'll all be dead before you figure out what caused this mess."

"Bold words for someone we barely know," Lex Luthor said, his tone dripping with condescension.

William stopped pacing and turned to Lex, his smirk widening. "Oh, I'll get to you, baldy. Don't worry."

The tension in the room reached a boiling point as whispers and murmurs spread among the attendees. Before anyone could interrupt, William raised a hand and snapped his fingers. The lights dimmed, and every camera in the room shut off with an audible click.

"What just happened?" Nick Fury barked, standing from his seat.

"Relax," William said, his tone still calm but tinged with menace. "What happens in this room stays in this room. No cameras, no recordings. Just us. And now... now we talk."

Before anyone could respond, William closed his eyes, letting the system hum to life in his mind. His body shimmered with an eerie glow, and in an instant, he transformed.

The room collectively recoiled as Glitchtrap emerged, his lanky form shimmering like static, his movements fluid yet unnervingly unnatural. His wide, unsettling grin sent a shiver through even the most hardened individuals in the room.

"Let me introduce myself properly," Glitchtrap said, his voice distorted but clear. "I'm not just William Pods. I'm your reality check."

He raised a hand, and the conference room's massive screen flickered to life, displaying files, photos, and videos. Dirt—on everyone.

"For example," he began, pointing to the screen, "Tony Stark, the billionaire playboy philanthropist. Or should I say, the guy who once sold weapons to anyone with deep enough pockets, no matter how many lives it cost?"

Tony stiffened, his smirk long gone.

"And Lex Luthor," William continued, his voice dripping with mockery. "Genius, billionaire, and oh, let's not forget, criminal mastermind. How many of your business deals end with 'accidents' for your competitors, Lex?"

Lex's calm demeanor cracked slightly, his jaw tightening.

"Oh, and let's not leave out S.H.I.E.L.D.," William said, turning to Nick Fury. "How many secrets are you sitting on, Fury? How many enhanced individuals have you experimented on 'for the greater good'? Care to share?"

Fury glared at him, but said nothing.

William continued, showing incriminating evidence on everyone in the room—world leaders, heroes, corporate giants. As the dirt piled up, the atmosphere shifted from anger to unease.

"You've made your point," Batman said, his voice cold but controlled. "You've done your research. Now what do you want?"

William's smile faltered, and for the first time, he looked genuinely serious.

"I want you all to work together," he said, his distorted voice filling the room. "Because right now, you're too busy protecting your own secrets, your own interests, to see the bigger picture. This isn't about you. It's about survival. If you don't get your act together, this world—and everything in it—dies."

"And if we refuse?" Lex asked, his tone challenging.

Glitchtrap's grin returned, wider than ever. "Then we all go down. Together."

The room fell silent again, the weight of his words sinking in.

"You're insane," Cyclops muttered.

"Maybe," William replied, his tone light. "But the difference between me and the rest of you is that I know how to win So, what's it going to be? Are you going to keep fighting each other? Or are you going to let me help you save this world?"

The room erupted into arguments, voices clashing as everyone tried to process the chaos William had unleashed. He stood in the center, unmoving, watching with a satisfied smirk as his words began to take root.

For the first time, they saw him not as a victim or a bystander—but as a dangerous player in the game.
