Aurora was confused by his reaction.
"What? I don't…." She groaned as he pushed away roughly and sat up.
"Leave, Now." He muttered while still staring at her coldly. She winced knowing fully well that she had bruised her arm.
"LEAVE!" He thundered making the whole cave shake from how loud and powerful his voice was.
Aurora gasped as she scrambled up from the ground and without looking back, she ran out of the cave with her heart beating so fast. She was just trying to be nice, why did he snap at her?
As soon as she was far away from the cave, she let out a breath she didn't know she had been holding.
After her heart started beating normally, she straightened up and that was when she noticed the twelve guards running toward her. Steven was the first one to get to her.
He grabbed her arm with worry in his eyes.
"Where were you? We couldn't find you anywhere and had to inform the Alpha and Luna. The parade has been shut down because everyone is searching for you." She gasped in shock as soon as heard that. Why did her father have to shut down the parade? Now everyone was going to hate her more than they already did.
"I just…. I just took a stroll into the forest, I didn't know it was going to cause such a problem" As if just perceiving the stench of the spoiled milk on her body, his eyes softened.
"Let's get you back home before your father asks the warriors to search for you." Aurora nodded then walked with them toward her carriage.

"Oh, my sweet baby. Where were you?" Roseline immediately questioned as soon as she saw Aurora. She ran up to her and hugged her tightly.
"I was just…. I was just taking a stroll through the forest… I didn't know it was going to cause a problem." Aurora murmured.
"Didn't I specifically tell you that you shouldn't go anywhere without your guards? For goddess sake, Aurora, you could have fainted and possibly died in the forest!" Nikolas yelled. Aurora bowed her head with a frown while Roseline turned to Nikolas with a glare.
"Take that back. No such thing is ever going to happen to my daughter" Before Nikolas could say anything else, Aurora pulled away from the hug and stared at her parents, emotionlessly.
"I don't feel good, I'll be up in my room." She bowed her head at them and then silently walked off. If it was any other day, she would have wailed while her father yelled at her but today, she was mad at them. She needed answers and she was going to get them later.
Nikolas and Roseline stared at her as she walked away with wide eyes then worry suddenly glazed over Nikolas' eyes.
"Do you think I was too harsh on her? I was just worried that she could…" Roseline grabbed his arm with a soft smile.
"Shh, I'm sure Aurora knows that you yelled at her out of worry," Roseline assured him and he let out a sigh.
"Then what do you think is wrong with her?" Roseline shrugged.
"I don't know but maybe she just needs to rest." Nikolas sighed but nodded before dismissing the guards and walking off with his wife.

Hours later, Aurora was seated on her bed when Veronica barged into her room with anger in her eyes. Veronica stalked towards her bed and before Aurora could say anything, Veronica landed a slap on her face.
"Because of you, the parade got shut down and everyone is shutting me out because I have such a wretched sister like you!" Veronica yelled. Aurora caressed her burning cheek before turning to Veronica.
"Isn't this all your fault? If you hadn't sent some of your followers to dump spoiled milk on me, I wouldn't have gone into the forest in the first place!" Aurora yelled back. She didn't know where the courage was coming from but…. She liked it but Veronica seemed shocked.
"Did you just yell at me, you little weak ugly pup?" Aurora felt the courage drain out of her body the minute Veronica grabbed her face and dug her fingers into it.
"I'm going to be Luna and if I want spoiled milk to be poured on you then you're supposed to sit there and enjoy it!" With that, she pushed Aurora away and then let out a loud groan.
"Ughhh, how am I going to show my face to others now?!" As Veronica screamed, Aurora could feel her eyes welling up. She hated being weak but that was her nature and she couldn't seem to get rid of it.
"Why? Why do you hate me so much? I never did anything to you." Aurora whispered as she stared up at Veronica.
"You want to know why? You ruined my life. The minute you came into our lives, it was all about you! I had to give up a lot of things because of you and I hate you because of that!" With that, Veronica stormed out of the room.
Aurora cried softly as she curled herself into a ball on the bed. When was she going to be normal and have a normal life like the rest? She wasn't even sure she could show her face out in public anymore because everyone would probably stone her as she walked by and no she wasn't exaggerating, it had happened before.
"My love?" She turned to the door and saw her mother and father staring at her with concern. She immediately wiped her tears away as they got closer.
"Why are you crying, My love?" Her mother asked softly as she sat on the bed and caressed Aurora's hair.
"Why did you shut down the parade? Everyone hates me more than they already do now. My life was already hard enough," Her voice broke as she spoke which made her mother hug her tightly.
"Oh my darling, please don't cry because of that. If they don't love you then they're missing out. Don't let that bother you, my love." Aurora sighed as she rested her head on her mother's shoulder. It was now or never… right?
"Who is that man… that creature that you both kept in that cave and why or how is he connected to me?"...
