Her hand squeezed mine, gently as we came into view of the training grounds. I let my thumb massage the front of her hand. She seemed excited to get to training. Maybe it was the mating bond, maybe it was her friend being on the way, but something had her in high energy and ready to tackle this day. Her attempts to redirect Sin's mood earlier had brought a smile to my face. She was beginning to feel attached to him and noticed his conflicted mood. The energy battle had me in absolute awe of her skill. My pack had gone silent when she had me beat. They'd never seen their Alpha lose, especially in energy battles. Their hesitation in whether to accept her victory was a bit sweet, they wanted to support me, as any good pack would. However, I had nothing but pride in my mate and her skill. She had taken the two skills she saw them use and blended them in a way that could elevate our pack's energy abilities as a whole.
