[Year 2118]
[Old Mexico]
"Captian Ren, I just got new orders for you. You need to converge to the middle. Apparently, their General came onto the battlefield himself. They order you to go and delay him. Until proper fighters can take care of him." I heard my major say from behind me.
"Shit, who is dealing with him at the moment?" I said, cutting the demon in front of me and killing him.
"Major Liam Bell and his squadron. They are already on their last leg."
"The fuck isn't that squad made out only SS or higher ranks?"
"Yes, he is a heavy hitter with speed. That's all I know, sorry." He said apologetics.
"Then What the hell is alone S rank going to do against something that can deal with that squad!" I yelled back, grabbing his collar.
"It's the major generals' order." He said, looking down before adding. "I brought it up that you alone won't be enough, but all he said is that you just need to buy time reinforcements will be here in 13 min."
"Who is the reinforcement?"
"Colonel Ronals unit."
"Liny? Hmm, fine, I will go kill himself." I said, putting all my daggers back in place.
"You are only ordered to buy time, nothing more."
"Haah, and let my girlfriend deal with such a dangerous guy. Over my dead body." I said, glaring at him before teleporting away.
"Fucken overprotective bitch." The major said, forgetting I still had my earpiece in.
"Shorty, if I get out of this, you lose your manhood," I said into my mic.
"Eeeeh!?"
"Fucken wiss," I said, getting closer to the middle.
It didn't take long to notice where the fight was happening as I saw Liams' fire shoot up to the sky.
"Sigh, he's still as weak as I remember," I said, appearing on a rock above the fight.
Looking down, I saw the remnant of Liams' squad. Only 4 people were still alive. The rest was lying on the ground in a pool of blood.
"Sigh, 16 ss rank or above dead, and they want alone S rank to deal with this guy," I said, sighing and looking at the demon. I could only shake my head at the major generals' stupidity.
"Sending long to the mid-range squad for backup and fight a close-range heavy hitter with average speed. Well, I guess liny will be able to kill him with some difficulty." I mumbled, analyzing the speed the demon was moving at and how he was fighting against the last 4 people.
The demon looked like a very hairy human giant. 2,3 m tall, his shoulders span were also very big. He had long hair with a long beard. His skin colour was also human-like, surprisingly. His attire was furs of some monsters he had probably killed. Monster fur is perfect armour, might I add. From where is was standing, I could see that he was strong, but that was it. His speed was average his footwork and fighting style was easy to read. All that this guy had was his strength.
"Trash!!! Get down here and distract this guy!!!" Liam yelled, spotting me on the rock to bring me out of my thoughts.
"Major Bell, I just arrived and was checking the situation before engaging the enemy," I said. Although I sounded formal, I didn't even look at him, not taking my eyes off the demon.
"Damn, your perceptions make it so we can escape."
"Escape? I am your backup major bell, meaning we are to deal with him together." I said, crossing my arms.
"I don't care, Trash! I order you to deal with him alone."
"Is that so? Well, shorty, you heard him. I have been ordered to deal with him on my own."
"Wait, that's not proper-." Before he could finish, I took the earpiece out.
"Well, as Miss, order me. you can leave this to me and run with your tail tucked between your legs." I said, waving him off.
"I hope you die, your Trash. Squadron, we are retreating." Liam yelled, turning around before running towards the backline.
"Yes, sir." They yelled, following his lead.
"Where do you think you're going!!" The demon yelled in narlic, trying to run after them.
"Well, let's get started," I mumbled, teleporting in front of the demon, kneeing him in the face and sending him flying backwards.
"Oh, never mind, you seem more interesting." The demon general said, appearing in front of me.
"Ah, sorry, I can't understand you," I said, tilting my head, dodging his punch and countering with an uppercut.
"Tch you humans." He said, glaring down at me.
"Haha, what about us?" I asked in narlic, redirecting his left jab and blocking the follow-up right one.
'Tsk, I guess I can't block his attack, only redirect them.' I thought, feeling some numbness in my right hand.
"Oh, you can block my fist?" The demon said, smiling greedily.
"Yeah, and I must say it ain't fun," I said, jumping back and pulling out a dagger for each hand.
"Oh, are we going to our weapons?" The demon said, stretching out his right hand.
"..." confused at his gesture, I raised an eyebrow only to make my eyes widen, seeing a giant red sword appear in his hands.
"What the hell!?" I yelled, teleporting away, narrowing, dodging his sword.
"Oh, you were still able to dodge that."
"Well, of course, I am not as fat as you," I said from behind, aiming my right dagger at the back of his neck.
"Tch, you dumb human!" The demon shouted, swinging around, moving faster than before.
"Oh, so that weapon of yours boosts your speed?" I said, appearing on the rock I was on at the beginning.
"You humans are such cowards." He said, looking up at me.
"Cowards? Why would you say that?" I asked, tilting my head.
"All you guys can win is by playing tricks."
"Well, that's not wrong but also not right. We, humans, are born vastly weaker than demons. So most of the time, the only way we can win against you guys is by doing tricks."
"Yes, it is cowardly."
"If you think so, but what would you call if someone out-skill you?"
"Out... skill? Me? Someone out-skilling me? Hahaha, I didn't think humans could make so good jokes."
"You seem dumber and dumber the more you talk," I said, lifting my hands up with the dagger.
"Oh, are our banter over."
"Nah, this fight is over. Thank you for giving me time to do this," I said sincerely just when my daggers disappeared out of my hands.
"Aaaaah." The demon shouted, looking at his two hands. Seeing what happened, his eyes widened in shock because the dagger I held was in his right hand, and the other was in his left wrist.
"This is your own fault," I said, appearing in front of him. Grabbing the dagger in his left wrist, I pulled downwards, cutting off his hand. At the same moment, I kicked his right hand, making him drop his sword from the pain.
"Ugh, you bitch." He yelled, swinging his arms at me but only hitting air.
"Don't lose focus now," I said, ducking down and grabbing one of his lags.
Picking his leg up, I threw him over my shoulder to the ground.
Boom!
"Ugh." Grunting in pain at the impact, his body bounced once on the floor. Jumping onto his chest, I started punching him in the face. After a full minute of punching, I stopped and looked at his bloody face.
"Sheesh, and they couldn't even deal with you. Just look at you all bloody and on the verge of death." I said, standing up. To my surprise, the moment I stood up, the demon kicked my leg, making me lose my balance. Before I could teleport away, he sent his right hand towards my shoulder.
Boom!
"Ugh, I guess I deserve that for letting my guard down," I said, appearing next to his sword on the ground with a dislocated left shoulder.
"You humans, I hate you!"
"Fair enough, I guess," I said, shrugging, ducking down. I picked up his sword.
"You! You can pick it up!?" The demon shouted, surprised.
"Why not- wasn't this a giant sword? How the fuck did it change to a katana?" I said, looking surprised at the katana in my hand.
"Give back my sword!!" Before I could thoroughly inspect the katana, the demon started running at me.
Teleporting behind him, I severed his feet, making him face-plant into the ground.
"Agh!" grunting in pain, the demon got up to his knees as quickly as possible.
"Hope you get further in your next life," I said, walking to his side. Looking straight into his eyes, I saw complete fear before swinging the katana and cutting his head off.
"Captain Ren, what have you done." The General, also known as Owen Bell, said, landing behind the dead demon general.
