"…did you take a liking to me now? Why are you not letting me go? I'm clearly okay." Dio wanted to take his frustration out on this little bird. However, when Kanaru looked back at him, those golden eyes seemed shimmering strangely. Dio glanced at Fenris before pulling a corner of his lips.

He combed his hand through Kanaru's hair. "To think about it, you look pretty. Is this how you manage to attract his attention so fast?"

Kanaru froze a little. He didn't like that gaze. His eyes blinked before his arms fell to the side. "Uh, I guess… wait, uh, sure, I'll…"

When he tried to back up, Dio's other hand on his back kept him from retreating. Kanaru looked over his shoulder and frowned. "I thought you wanted me to let go. Why is your hand stopping me?"

"Is it?" Dio laughed a little.
