Taking in a deep breath she checked if the rope she had made was tight enough. She wouldn't want to end up with broken limbs.
"I'm sorry brother." She whispered before jumping down with the rope supporting her.
She made sure not to make any sound while landing but being the first time, she had made some slight sound which raised little alarm.
She opened her eyes which she had shut before jumping down. Quickly hiding behind the bushes as she heard the footsteps of the guards coming closer.
She breathed quietly, even though her heart was beating faster than usual. She made sure to not make any sort of sound. She wouldn't want to get caught when she was only close to her freedom.
"Did you hear that sound?" One of the guards asked.
"There's nothing here." The other guard replied.
"But I did hear a sound." The guard insisted and this time, Samara shut her eyes tight praying to the gods not to get caught.
