Mid-air I twist my body sending a spinning kick into the head of one of the children Grombie making it explode like a watermelon. The bodies of the four adult Grombies turned towards the noise as they opened their mouths with an orange glow radiating from the inner part of their mouths.
Creating a thread of web, I grab a stall and start swinging it in the air as the Grimm rushes towards me. Using the chair stall I slam it into the head of the owner, now turned Grimm, as a crack could be heard from having its skull caved in with wooden splinters protruding from its head as it falls to the ground.
The last three Grimm rushed towards me while this happened. One swings a fist at me, another lunges towards me and the last one went out to grab my arm. I uppercut the one going to bite me as I use the forward momentum from the Grimm that's trying to grapple me to send it flying past me. I failed to dodge the last attack as the blow landed square into my chest.
My [Shroud] is shattered immediately as I'm sent back a few feet. Using the force from the punch, I used my acrobatic skills to what seemed like dancing as I flipped and jumped through the chaos of the tables and chairs.
Using the last table I push myself into the air and land an axe kick into the head of the Grombie that tried grabbing me. Its head splattered, covering the floor and table close by making sure to turn my body to ready myself for the next Grimm to attack.
I have no Aura left so all I can do is trust in my hand-to-hand skills against the Grombie Grimm that has the same physical strength as its host did but with none of the limitations the mind places upon them. The Grimm in front of me are much stronger but hold no intelligence with only the desire to eat me.
Grabbing a bit of broken chair, I rush towards the Grimm that was also sprinting towards me, sending the chair at the furthest one with as much strength as I can. The Grimm at the back is knocked to the floor as the fist of the front Grimm comes flying with a crazy amount of brute force aiming towards my face.
Parrying the blows, the Grimm was in a lunging position which I hooked my foot around its heel and pulled, causing it to lose its balance and fall over. Once on the ground, I start to pummel its face into the floor with any close objects I can find. Its arms raised trying to rip me apart but it slowly lost all strength as its body went limp.
The last Grimm charged at me diving on top of me as my head bounces off the stone floor as I struggled to get the upper hand. Its mouth opened up as it went right for my throat. I grabbed a brown piece of wood and shoved it into its mouth.
Its hands pulled at my skin and flesh trying to get anything it could from me with my bare fist I started to send punch after punch. The barrage of punches gave me enough time to flip us over, I now sat on the chest of this Grimm as I caved in its skull with anything I could get my hands on from chairs to knives.
I sat in the middle of the room, slowing my breath and making as little noise as possible. Peeking out from behind a knocked over table, I see the eyes of the Grimm staring in through the windows. Leaning back down I sit there for a few minutes waiting for the Grimm to leave.
After their interests are brought to somewhere else, I try to stand up but any adrenaline I had is now gone making all my movements heavy from the blows I took. I get up slowly walking to the bar I grab the bottle of Vodka taking a swig as I sit there wondering what to do next.
- Raziel -
Waking up I tried to move but only pain-filled my mind making me lay still. The group of children that were now far away from me seemed to be bickering. I opened my mouth as I was about to call out but before any sound could come out they had turned to me and started walking towards me.
"Raziel. The others and I talked it over and we plan to head back to the village and get help since no one has come to help yet," Jimmy said while avoiding eye contact.
"I'll stay here with you so don't worry," Jimmy said with a smile that seemed to be hiding the fear inside.
"Thanks a lot, Jimmy, and to all of you. I would like to apologize for hiding my race," Raziel said while looking toward each of them.
"It's fine. I've never met a Faunus but you seem nice, so I think it's fine," Mia said while giving a bright smile.
"I think it's time we head out. The sooner the better. Raziel needs medical treatment as soon as possible," Melvine said while looking towards me with concern.
They each gave their goodbyes as Jimmy and myself waved them off only hearing their footsteps slowly fade away as we looked towards each other. I take a sip of water as I check on my injuries, most of the small cuts and scrapes I got have fully healed, the only thing left is a heavily wounded waist.
With my aura, what would take maybe one-three years to fully heal would be brought down to four-six months and I should be able to move around after a few weeks. I can't know for sure but If I base it on what Akari taught me then it should be around what I said.
Jimmy seemed to be checking each of the door frames that were built around this huge dome-like cave room. Each of these door frames had rocks blocking them up as if the door frames were built around the wall and not as if the wall had collapsed and blocked the door frames up. After finding nothing, he came back and we rested while eating some food.
After many hours of resting, any rescue that should have come is hours late. Jimmy is slowly getting more and more impatient. He looks towards me, not even able to meet my eyes as he seems to be thinking over something.
"Raziel, I think I need to go out and see what's happening. If we stay here we don't have anything to eat. Don't worry about me. I'll be right back. I imagine that something happened," Jimmy says as he changes my bandages for the last time.
"I don't think it's safe out there, Jimmy. If a group of the others couldn't make it..." Before I could say anything else Jimmy shouted out.
"THEY DID... They did make it back. Don't say that," Jimmy's eyes were watery before storming towards the exit.
Welp, guess I'm now alone till Akari finds me. I have a single torch lighting up small bits of the room at a time. The silence was suffocating. I stayed laying down day after day as my water and food slowly disappeared till a week had passed of me trying to pass the time.
I had been trying new things with my aura till I found that if I focus my aura on the wound it heals faster than normal. It wasn't a huge difference but day after day I could see it healing faster than before.
Standing up, making sure not to do any overbearing movements, I walk around the room. As of right now, I can't make the jump across the gap in the path out of this place so I have to do something with my time.
After so many times of looking at the walls, I used my semblance and pushed my head through it. I was ready to see nothing but darkness from being inside it, but to my surprise, I saw a corridor with unlit torches on each side.
Walking inside, step by step, I enter a large room with a statue in the middle. At the base it has the words, "There is no way to train your heart to be invulnerable," and atop his head is a pair of goggles.
