The news of their all-powerful Alpha being mated to a 'human' was undoubtedly shocking and had likely caused confusion throughout the pack.

Moistening my lips, I took in a deep breath, all while Jasmine continued to search for answers with her innocent eyes. Finally, I reluctantly replied, "Yes, I am."

Her little eyes widened in surprise, and then she flashed a big smile. "I knew it! There had to be a reason the Alpha brought home a human," she declared triumphantly, her excitement palpable. I couldn't help but find her reaction endearing.
