Capítulo 6: Introduction

The thing kept throwing punches in an attempt to hit the man in front of him, which rarely worked. He was dodging almost everything effortlessly and without difficulty as if it were natural for him to do so from a being like him.

"I guess you're still getting used to your new body, huh?" The thing stopped using only his fists and started using his foot as well.

"What do you mean...new....body....agh..." He kept dodging and talking all at once. It was difficult at first, but when he heard the thing say something about his body, everything changed. He wanted to ask many questions about what had happened to his body, but it appears that he will have to do so later.

He could easily equal him in fighting and dodging because he knew a little hand-to-hand combat. He thought he was getting better at it because everything changed when he entered this infinite void.

First, he had a spiritual body, then he got his body back but with strange colored skin, then he learned about mana and was able to use magic, and finally, his entire body changed but became more powerful. It had a huge impact on him because he could now do things he never thought he'd be able to do and was dodging like a light feather with no fear of anything.

'This is a lot of fun! Haha!' That was his first thought after gaining a small amount of this immense power. He had undergone a significant transformation!

While the man took a step back, the thing stopped attacking. He took a stance in order to defend himself. With a grin on his face, the thing began walking towards him.

This time, however, he could faintly hear the thing's feet touching the ground each time it did so. He prepared to fight back by figuring out where he came from based on the sound.

"Fool. You overthink things. Try to use your entire body as a whole and let your senses guide you to victory."

The man didn't expect a lecture about how he was fighting, but he took it as great advice because he had no fighting experience at all. Perhaps if he follows his advice, he will be able to gain strength.

He stopped listening to the sound of the thing's feet and allowed his senses to do their work while focusing on defending and attacking with his entire body.

'It feels a lot better now. I was tense because I had to listen to the noise, which made me nervous every time it made contact with the ground.'

He was now exuding the aura of a warrior who had just embarked on its first path to becoming stronger.

'He has the spirit and everything, but...'

The thing vanished and reappeared by the man's side as he swung his fist once more while his foot brushed up against his leg, which the man didn't notice.

The thing didn't put much power into his foot, but it pushed the man back quite a bit. He may have grown stronger and gained incredible powers, but he was still an ant in comparison to this true warrior.

Huff huff huff

He loosened his leg and jumped up and down, preparing for an attack. He inhaled and exhaled, then charged ahead at a breakneck pace he'd never seen before.

'Cool!'

He began attacking the thing's stomach, face, knees, neck, jaw, cheeks, and anywhere else he could cause harm.

The thing didn't even try to avoid him. It was more like he was blocking his attacks with his hands.

This went on for a long time until the man was exhausted to the point of collapsing on the ground with a satisfied expression on his face. He tried to breathe while controlling his breath.

"Let's call it a day for the time being. I have a good idea of what you need to work on and what would be beneficial to you. I'll also tell you what you're doing right and wrong. As someone who craves power, I'll give you everything you desire."

The thing approached the man and extended his hand to him as if to say grab his hand and stand up.

The man took his hand without hesitation.

"Good. Let's go into my house and unwind for a few minutes before we continue our conversation."

As he began walking in a specific direction, the thing took off. The man simply nodded and followed behind, eager to learn everything this thing had to say.

'I'm finally getting stronger...'

The man began giggling as he attempted to cover it up with his hand, which failed miserably.

'What a fascinating human being.' The thing looked behind him with the tips of its eyes, trying to figure out what the man behind him was thinking.

----

"Go ahead and take a seat." The thing motioned for the man to take a seat in the chair in front of him. He nodded and sat down quickly.

Meanwhile, the thing opened a door and vanished from the man's sight.

He waited a minute before seeing the thing return with something in its hand. He was holding two glasses and a bottle of water.

The man was perplexed as to why he brought water, but now that he thinks about it, he hasn't drunk any water in a long time, which seems strange. When he arrived in this void, he didn't require any water or food for the duration.

'Am I still a human being?' Was a question he had just begun to ponder in light of the things humans do that he did not, such as eating and drinking.

"You humans like to drink water, don't you? As my first disciple, I'll welcome you with a glass of water! What do you think? Isn't it making you happy?" It had a playful expression on its face as the man tried to understand why humans would be happy to drink water. Of course, they're grateful to have something to drink from, but water isn't some rare and special liquid.

"Yes, but it's nothing out of the ordinary. I haven't had anything to drink in a long time, so please pour me one." The man didn't think twice about asking because he wanted to taste that delicious yet tasteless liquid he used to drink on Earth.

"Sure!" The thing poured down the entire bottle, filled it to the brim, and handed it to the man. The man gladly accepted and began drinking it, not suspecting anything.

"Why don't you suspect I've done something with this water?" The thing asked, both hands under his chin, as he leaned over to see how the man gulped the entire water in seconds.

"Haaaaa...BURP"

"....."

"Please excuse me. It's been a while, and I seem to have enjoyed it a little too much. Haha!" The man scratched his head in embarrassment because he hadn't burped in front of anyone in a long time. Most people found it repulsive, so he stopped doing it when he was near someone.

"It's all right. But can you answer my question?" The thing was in the same position as before, and it appeared to be interested in the response the man was about to give.

"Sure. You are a being who could kill me in a split second if you wanted to, so I doubt you would poison or otherwise tamper with this water. Why would you do this when you had the option of killing me earlier? I've also given you no information other than how I got here, which would be problematic for you because someone trespassed through here, which I suspect is a place where no one can get in and, as you mentioned earlier, without your permission. When you think about it, it's actually quite simple and logical."

The thing was taken aback and burst out laughing, unable to contain his joy.

"You're quite astute and perceptive. That appeals to me." He stood up and motioned for the man to shake his hand. The man stood up and accepted it as well. "You've impressed me once more, uh..."

"Lucas Lloyd. You can address me as Lucas." He, too, wanted to know what the thing's name was, but was unsure how to do so in a non-disrespectful manner.

"May I ask what the master's name is?"

The thing started laughing again as if everything was funny to him. Lucas didn't mind because he was finally having a conversation with someone after being alone in this infinite void for quite some time. He enjoyed the conversation and wished to continue it. The greater the length, the better.

"I am Arch, the God of The Void, but I am also known as the Primeval God, Master of The Abyss, The All-Knower, Grim Reaper, The Unfathomable One, Lord of The Unknown, and Overseer of Nihility. I have many names because I am a being who has lived from the beginning to the end, and many people have given me different names in each era. So I simply accepted the names because, well, why not?" It quickly explained it to the man, who had a surprised expression on his face.

'Did he just say the word, God? As in a true God?'

"You may be suspicious of me, but I am a true God. There are other gods in the universe, but I am the God of The Void, which means I control the entire void. I am its lord."

"Isn't the void just a place with objects flying around? I didn't see any other creatures, so I'm not sure what you're controlling precisely, but..."

"Obviously, because they haven't revealed themselves. They were hiding their presence from you because they didn't know who you were and didn't want to make me, the master, angry by killing someone I might have invited, so they were just following you and speculating on what you were up to. Because of them, I was informed that someone had entered my territory without permission, so I was very curious about who you were and welcomed you to come to me."

Lucas was perplexed that his master had a method of stalking him because he had no idea that something was watching his every step, or here fly, in this infinite void.

"But..." Lucas hesitated to ask who 'them' were because he didn't know what to ask or what not to ask. He may become enraged and kick him out, or he may simply kill him. He was afraid that he would lose his one and only chance to grow stronger and live.

Since his death, his pessimistic side hasn't left him. Oh, how inconvenient.

Despite his hesitation, he asked. He was curious. He had a right to know, didn't he? He has been stalked since the beginning and has no right to know who his stalkers are. That is just messed up.

"W-Who is 'them'?" He quickly confronted his master.

"They're my subordinates, patrolling the void for intruders. It's not impossible to get in, but if there's anyone with hostile intentions, he'll be annihilated. I can see into almost every corner of the void, but it's inconvenient to have to go fight some weak creatures every time they get inside, you know? So I simply asked Philip for some subordinates, and he went out and got them for me. It's as easy as they say. Dragons and demonic beasts are among them. From foxes to wolves and many others. I have a lot of them because they can't see around every corner as I can. Wanna see them?"

Arch is far too relaxed about it! How can his master simply request that he meet with dragons and demonic beasts? Lucas wasn't afraid of meeting foxes or wolves, but dragons and demonic beasts? No way! He's heard and read about how they look. Massive scales and two wings. They spit fireballs and are extremely dangerous. Demonic beasts were even more terrifying!

"Uh..."

"They're not going to do anything, you know? That's why they haven't attacked you because you appeared to have no intention of wreaking havoc inside. They said you appeared to have no idea where you were and were simply confused." Arch tried to comfort the poor Lucas which didn't entirely work but nevertheless continued doing what he wanted to do.

"I'm going to call them right now. Give me a second."

Lucas began to sweat because he didn't know how to stop Arch from summoning the dangerous creatures who were about to meet him for the first time!

A meeting between monsters and a human!

---

Arch closed his eyes and focused his attention on something in his mind. Lucas had no idea how his master would summon them to meet him, but he patiently waited for them to arrive while also attempting to calm down.

"They're on their way. Prepare yourself because they will be violent and cold at first, but once you get to know them, they are pretty cute and kind if I do say so myself."

"....."

Gulp

When he heard his master say the words 'violent' and 'cold,' he began to sweat.

'What does he mean when he says "once you get to know them, they are pretty cute and kind"?! How can someone go through such a drastic change in personality so quickly?'

'I just hope they aren't as violent and cold as my master claims they are...'
