Hal furrowed his brow,

"I thought Danes hate Doxons" he said.

Isabella shrugged, 

"Hate is a strong word but we do indeed dislike you all. The Doxon Duchy seems to be the very example of everything the Dane principles are against. That said, we now have a common interest. Or more accurately, there is the possibility that we have common interests."

"I don't think there is" Hal said and shook his head.

"You don't? Well, let me draw you a picture; If you do indeed marry Melinda and the Danes go to war with the Silvas which is just a pit-stop to our grand ambition, will you stand by and watch as Melinda fights for the sake of her family?" She said.

Hal frowned but said nothing.

Isabella continued, 

"And if you join in, will your family stand by and watch that happen without interfering?
