Onyx had always known that she was different. She was an orphan who had grown up in the slums of the magical village of Arcadia, surrounded by people with incredible powers, but no matter how hard she tried, she could never seem to awaken her own abilities. She was forced to scrape by on the streets, relying on her wits and her natural cunning to survive.
But now, everything had changed. She now had an opportunity to become stronger, and take her revenge on the society. Onyx had always been observant, noticing details that others overlooked. It started with small things, like noticing the pattern of a bird's flight or the way a leaf moved in the wind. But as she grew older, her observations became more focused, more specific.
She had noticed how the corrupt guild officials lied to adventurers about the price of monster drops. She had seen the royal knights' numerous crimes, as she always observed from a distance. One day, Onyx had sworn to herself that if she ever attained power, she would destroy every single corrupt official, and execute all criminals.
Now that she had a chance to achieve such power, she wouldn't back down. She knew already how special her powers were, since she had never heard of anyone having a [STATUS WINDOW] of any kind. She realized that her power was unique and, if she used it properly, she might even become one of the most powerful mages in the world, perhaps even surpassing the legendary "Mage Of The Crimson Tower, Unvidius".
However, she realized that she still had a long way to go until she could even measure to a normal mage, let alone someone as great as Unvidius. She knew that in order to become stronger, she would have to wander around the Dungeons, and slay monsters. That was how adventurers became stronger : when someone defeats a monster in the dungeon, they can absorb part of the monster's strength, and sometimes even obtain some rare or powerful pieces of equipment.
She knew that, if she set out for the dungeon immediately, she would be able to reach it before sunrise, so she immediately packed all of her possessions - amounting to a big knife, a piece of cloth, and some dried jerky beef- inside her bag before leaving the village. Of course, nobody would even notice she was gone since she was irrelevant to them.
After walking for 2 hours, Onyx finally reached the dungeon. As she approached the entrance of the dungeon, she could feel the cold air emanating from the dark depths below. The entrance was carved into the side of a rocky cliff, and stone steps leading down were slick with moisture.
Onyx entered the gloomy place and received a system notification. [You have entered {CLIFFSIDE DUNGEON LEVEL 1} As she descended, the light from above faded slowly and she began to notice the faint flicker of torches in the distance. She soon found herself in a vast chamber, lit by the glow of hundreds of torches mounted on the walls. The room was filled with the sound of dripping water and the fluttering of bat wings.
The walls of the chamber were adorned with ancient, faded tapestries depicting epic battles between legendary heroes and monstrous beasts. In the center of the room stands a raised dais, upon which sat a stone throne, draped in spider webs and dust.
Onyx was an her guard, as she knew she could be attacked by monsters at any moment, so she kept her hunting knife brandished in front of her body. As she moved further into the dungeon, she came across a series of winding tunnels and narrow passageways. The air was thick with the scent of damp earth and rotting vegetation. The walls were lined with ancient runes and symbols, some of which glow faintly in the dark.
Suddenly, she heard a grunting noise. Deep within the dark and winding corridors of a dungeon lied a creature that strikes fear into the heart of the young girl : a Minotaur. Standing over eight feet tall, the Minotaur was a massive, bull-headed humanoid with rippling muscles and thick fur covering its body. Its eyes were red and glowing, and its sharp horns curved menacingly towards its shoulders.
Thankfully, the Minotaur didn't seem to have noticed her. As she slowly approached the creature, a system window opened in front of her. [SKILL : {ANALYSE} DISCOVERED. USE {ANALYSE} ?] "Yes", she whispered. Red text then appeared above the Minotaur. It read "[Minotaur lvl.7]"
