Capítulo 4: CHAPTER 4
Our laughter commenced and Draco veered off in the direction of the three broomsticks. Once we have entered I glance around, at one table is the trio and at another table is Ginny Weasley and her boyfriend. I try to go back through the door but Draco grabs my hand and drags me across the room to an empty table at the the back of the pub.
"Two butter beers please" Draco requests politely an the waiter quickly nods and ambles away. "So what happened with you and Hermione?" Draco asks with a curious edge to his voice but I don't respond. I twist my shaking fingers nervously in my lap as we sit in awkward silence. Our drinks are placed in front of us and I am grateful for the attention being diverted elsewhere. The waiter ambles away once more. I take a drink whilst Draco stares at me expectantly awaiting my answer. "She said that she doesn't like girls" I mutter quietly, hoping that he didn't hear. Draco falls to hold on a laugh and beer sprouts from his nostrils, dripping down his chin and back into his cup. "IT'S NOT FUNNY!" I exclaim angrily and kick his foot under the table. "No stupid, I'm not laughing at that, it's just"- he stops mid sentence and leans over, reaching out to my face then wipes my upper lip with his sleeve
"-you had a nice moustache even though it was quite disturbing". I shriek and look around praying that no one saw.
I take a careful sip of my butter beer and allow my gaze to fix on the trio. I try to ignore the way that Ron and Hermione look at each other bit the sight only fuels the fire inside of me. Without realising it I slam my beverage onto the table and storm out. The frothy liquid spills onto the table and drips down onto the floor. I'm already gone.
"Raven wait!" Draco shouts, following me out the door after paying for our drinks but I don't look back until he grasps my wrist in his honey fingers and I let out a cry as his action causes my whole body to jolt painfully. "Fuck off Malfoy" I spit at him and continue to run away, as fast as I can.
I pass the clothing shop that me and Draco had previously entered and a strong sense of curiosity overwhelms me. I stumble through the door, once again the bell rings and I wipe my shoes roughly on the 'welcome' mat. I look up from my feet and the interior of the shop has been completely altered. I see something in the distance though it's hard to make out because of the dark. I think it's a face, a really pale face.
"Nagini, what was that?" A whisper looks in the darkness. I flinch suddenly as something cold and slimy brushes against my bare ankle. Goosebumps peptide from my skin and I see a large snake slithering in the ground beside my feet.
The pale figure comes into my field of vision and I find myself looking upon my father for the second time in one day. "My dear Raven, how lovely it is to see you" "quit the small talk dad, why are you here?" I ask confidently although I'm trembling on the inside. "You seem to be quite fond of that Malfoy, what's his name? Ahhh yes, Draco" "I don't see why, him and his father are both pathetic, they take orders from me, they worship me" he reveals. Somethings not sitting right, he said both. Draco doesn't take orders from my father. And he never will! "Draco is not a death eater!" I scream, struggling to keep my anger at bay. My father hesitates before answering "not yet" he says and vanishes.
Those two words, just those two words are enough to bring me to my knees. I crumple onto the floor in a small heap.
