"Rebecca!" a thunderous and deep voice echoed, "Come here you stupid woman!"

Becky flinched at the sound of the voice, and even I had felt a cold rush of dread through my whole body when I heard it. As we turned around to watch, we immediately recognized whose voice it was that boomed. A blonde and tall man that was Rebecca Carter's husband – the spitting image of her boyfriend in the 21st century.

Both of us froze as we saw Zeke's worn and unkempt version walk past us and towards the church. The stench that escaped from him was so foul I could almost puke in repulsion. There was a slight drawl in his words, and I knew that the infamous man that beat his wife was drunk – yet again.

"Oh, Lizzie," Becky started to cry beside me, "it is true… Zeke is the man I am supposed to receive vengeance."
