He thought of opening the music library, and in his mind a huge selection was shown, and playlists he had made on Earth were displayed as well. Verce immediately knew which song he would play to try and gain enough strength to escape, and maybe even fight the monster.
The song appeared when he thought of it, and it started playing in his mind. This song was 'IN THIS SONG EVERYONE DIES [DOOM OST COVER]' by ONI INC (It's not on Spotify, only YouTube so if you want to listen to it while reading, which is what I would recommend for the story, then you can, or you can listen to whatever you want! Let me know if you like it, or don't.)
As soon as the music started playing in his head, Verce felt as though his entire body was stronger than it had ever been despite all of the injuries he had received. This feeling lasted for a few seconds while the introduction to the song was still playing and, in this time, he stood up.
However, when the song actually began, this feeling of strength increased even further. Along side this, black flames engulfed his arms and, where his right hand should be, a sword made of the same black flames appeared. These flames did not do any damage to Verce, however, the heat radiating from them could very clearly be seen by the air around him becoming distorted.
Verce felt as if he could do anything, and spoke to himself while staring at the minotaur, "This must be one of the temporary skills obtained depending on what I'm listening to. Maybe I should try letting some of my anger out on this monster!"
He ran at the Minotaur with full confidence in himself due to his increase in strength, and he swung the flame sword at the minotaur. However, as Verce was only level 1, the minotaur was easily able to smack Verce away with his axe. This caused him to go flying into a wall which created a dust cloud.
Despite this, Verce emerged seemingly fine, "That wasn't too bad, nowhere near as painful as having my eye ripped out."
He charged back at the Minotaur again, and when it swung the axe once again, he ducked beneath it and raised the flame sword. Due to the force behind the axe, the incredible heat of the sword sliced through the axe like butter.
Verce plunged his sword forward at the minotaur but, much to his surprise, the minotaur's body completely blocked any damage. It then slammed its fist down and crushed Verce into the ground. As it had seen his resilience from the first attack, it stomped on his body and pummelled it continually to make sure he would not get back up.
It then turned away, and started walking back the way it had come from while Verce lay absolutely destroyed on the ground. However, after around ten seconds of the minotaur walking, something smashed into its back and made it stumble forward.
It turned around to look at what had attacked it, and saw Verce once again. However, unlike before, his entire body was now covered with the black flames, and they were much more erratic and expanded further than they previously had.
Instead of just his right arm having a sword, both of his arms had now turned into large fire spikes which looked incredibly deadly. Verce sprinted at the minotaur and he seemed faster than before, which was confirmed when he managed to dodge an attack from the enemy and also slice off its arm in one swift movement.
He then rammed into the minotaur and caused it to fall to the ground on its back, and Verce used his left fire spike to hold down the minotaur's remaining arm so that it could not fight back. His right arm's fire weapon then turned into a large fist, and he began to punch the minotaur in the face over and over again without stopping.
This caused the minotaur's head to cave in, but Verce did not stop there, as he continued to destroy the remnants of his enemy's deceased corpse. He only stopped once the song that was playing stopped, as the flames disappeared from around his body.
All of the damage that he had taken previously seemed to have been healed, except from his lost hand and eye. He felt a little tired, but not a very noticeable amount, so he checked his status, as after killing the minotaur, which was clearly stronger than him, he assumed he would have levelled up a few times.

Verce was amazed at the increase in his status, as his class had yet again changed, and it seemed to be much stronger. He was happy that it was not associated with being a Hero any longer, and was in fact the opposite. Although none of the Heroes had technically done anything wrong, none of them attempted to stop him from being exiled, or even say anything while it was happening.
More importantly though, his entire species had changed which he was excited about, as Demons, especially Greater Demons, were normally stronger than humans by default.
He was also happy to see that he had gained three new skills, one of which related to his music skills, as he was less of a bard than his previous class would have made him seem, which he felt was very good and would be helpful in dangerous situations.
The other two skills were also seen by Verce as being incredibly strong, as they were related to his new class. He was sure that he would be able to get a lot of use out of them, especially the domination ability of his new right hand, which he planned to use on the King.
Despite Verce being unaware of the amount of stats gained each level for regular people, or the Heroes, he felt that five points in each stat every level was definitely good, as he had expected it to be one or two at most.
With his newly increased status and full body, Verce planned to go further into the dungeon in hopes of becoming even stronger.
