Capítulo 94: Anger

I watch as Syn cooks Fig anything and everything the little guy wants and feel myself smile. The smile quickly fades though.. When Fig had mentioned a "The Pit" I saw Syn flinch and visibly shake. I couldn't bring myself to ask about it though. So I will send Ren to see what he can find out about it but I have a feeling I won't like what I find.

My blood boils with anger and I regret killing Ryder so quickly. I should have made the bastard suffer for eternity. I'm snapped out of my dark thoughts with Syn's voice "Are you hungry? I can make you something as well.." She was watching me intently and I can see the question in her eyes at my behavior.

I do my best to smile and say "No, I'm still full from eating with you earlier." She gives me a small smile and nods turning back to Fig. "I'm gonna leave you two to enjoy your snacks while I take care of a few things." I stand and place a kiss on her temple before shifting away. I don't wait for her answer.. I don't want her to see me like this and misunderstand.

All I want to do it wrap her up in my arms and keep her to myself but my anger was getting the best of me. I needed to calm down.. plus, it'll be good for her to spend time with Fig. "Ren.." I feel his power ripple as he shifts in next to me. "Yes." He says in his calm voice. "I need you to find out what The Pit is.. Fig mentioned it earlier."

Ren looked a little shocked and he hesitated. I turn to fully look at him and frown. "What is it?" I ask knowing he must already know. Ren struggles for only a moment before saying "It's... We came across this place when we cleared everything out. A few men died so we decided to close it off... The few that made it back out were visibly disturbed. When asked, they didn't want to speak about it."

I frown even more and say "I will go see it for myself. I won't be gone long but while I'm away I want you to keep her safe." Ren nods and I shift to grab my blood blades. No matter what was down there... I will kill them all. Knowing she had been down there with.. whatever it was sent white hot anger shooting through me.

I felt her fear.. It came off her in waves and the fact I could not protect her from that felt like a blade was placed in my heart. I couldn't protect her then so I will protect her now. No matter who or what, I will eliminate them if they threaten her in anyway. I will wait for her to tell me what happened to her.. until then.. I will throw every last thing into the pits of hell.
