"You going out?" Tiamat asked.
"Yeah… Perhaps that'll get this bastard to get off my back," Zariel pointed a thumb at the spider monkey clinging to his back.
Aurelia's golden eyes sparkled. "Oh boy!" She hopped down his back, circling him as they made their way down the banister. "Are we going to the Colosseum? Maybe a new restaurant? There is a business run by Elves. I—"
"Elves don't eat meat," Zariel said.
"So?"
Zariel looked at her as if she was the biggest fool. "Why would I pay for a meal that just grass?"
Lost for words, Aurelia exclaimed. "It's not just grass! They sell—"
"Dirt?"
Aurelia's brows twitched, leaving Tiamat laughing. "He's kind of got you there."
"No, he doesn't!"
Poking a bit of fun at Aurelia's expense, Zariel opened the door, pausing as he stared at the three strangers in front of him. From their attire, he could tell they were lordlings but not ones usually seen in Salem.
