Disbursing the ice that barred their way, revealing a mid-size crack in the wall, Zariel and Iclyn stepped in without hesitation, forcing their way down through the narrowing corridor with the temperature shrinking more and more. Before he knew it, Zariel was forced to transfigure a warm fur pelt in the hopes of retaining his core temperature. 

Iclyn watched, unsure why so much unease was weighing on her heart. She clutched her belly, feeling her children's life force resonating with the cold around her, and grinned, losing herself in the sensation. She hadn't wanted to think of the hard times ahead, only the now.
