Capítulo 115: Not Going Down Without a Fight
"Why?! Why can't I capture the correct timing?!"
Resonance City's captain gnashed his teeth in frustration. As the remaining 50 men were assembling for one final clash, the captain thought long and hard about how to pull off the aura formation.
"Maybe I need to determine some sort of trigger to capture the correct timing not only for this battle but also for every battle…"
Something finally clicked in his head and he remembered that when he called the convergence at around 400 meters, they were a bit too late while they were a bit too early when he called it at 600 meters.
He decided to call the convergence at 500 meters this time, however, there were still other factors to consider.
How fast was the enemy charging? When will they charge at full speed?
He tried thinking of an answer to these two questions. Once he can answer these two questions every time, then they would be able to execute the aura formation anytime they want.
Unfortunately, he didn't have much time left. His men were already ready to charge and the Terravallean cavalry was almost ready as well.
"Think! Think! Think!"
Fortunately, before the last clash began, he thought of an answer to the "How fast was the enemy charging" question.
The answer he thought of was, that he didn't need to know exactly how fast, he just needed to know the opponent they were dealing with.
This means the answer to that question is simply "The enemy is a cavalry unit". Cavalry and infantry had different charging speeds.
Since he knew that the opponent was a cavalry unit, it meant that the current timing would only work for cavalry units.
He needs to capture and practice a different timing when fighting against infantry.
With this, he didn't overthink anymore about how fast they should charge or how fast the enemy was charging.
As long as he remembers this timing when fighting against cavalry units, then it was enough.

"NYAHAHAHAHAHA! I must say, General Helena! Your cavalrymen are indeed persistent. Sadly, that's all they are! NYAHAHAHAHA! Should we still continue the match? The results are as clear as day!"
*BANG*
"SHUT THE FUCK UP!!! YOU KEEP YAPPING ON AND ON! IS THIS YOUR FIRST TIME WINNING?! HUH?!"
Helena finally couldn't help herself and gave Grand Marshal Geraint's face a solid punch.
She was fuming with anger, this Geraint was truly her mortal enemy when it comes to pissing each other off.
Grand Marshal Geraint's nose slightly bled but he didn't care. He was very satisfied after seeing Helena's angry outburst so he didn't care about a slight punch at all.
"NYAHAHAHAHAHA! Calm down, General Helena! Why are you punching me just because your cavalry is losing?! You should blame your own cavalry, not me!"
"ONE MORE WORD FROM YOUR MOUTH AND I'LL FIGHT YOU TO THE DEATH!!!" Helena yelled furiously.
"NYAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
Seeing that Helena was already exploding like a volcano, Geraint laughed even harder and ran back towards his camp.
"Just you wait!! I'll mock you with everything I have when our side wins again!" Helena angrily muttered to herself.
Meanwhile, the two cavalry units were in the middle of their charge again.
Resonance City's cavalry captain narrowed his eyes as he closely watched the Terravallean's charge.
Once the Terravallean cavalry reached the five hundred meters point, the Terravallean captain waved his sword as a signal to charge full throttle.
"That's it! NOW MEN!! CONVERGE!!"
The distance between the two cavalry units was quickly decreasing and exactly before the two cavalry units collided, Resonance City's elite cavalry converged.
After the two triangular wedge formations converged at the perfect time, an amazing thing happened.
A black and purple aura seemed to have enveloped their whole cavalry unit and there was a sharp aura point in front of the cavalry captain.
"Kuaaahhhk!!!"
Terravallean cavalry horses flew left and right after colliding with the black and purple aura formation. Some of the poor horses died while others were injured.
Fortunately, the bodies of the elites were sturdier than the horses so they only passed out after colliding with the aura formation.
Helena and Geraint's eyes opened wide as the Resonance City's elite cavalry unit decimated a total of three hundred Terravallean cavalrymen before ultimately getting wiped out
"W-What the fuck was that?!" Geraint exclaimed. He couldn't believe what he had just seen because this was the first time he had seen something like that.
He didn't know that formations when applied in a certain manner and timing, produce an aura of some sort.
"My king should learn about this!" Geraint muttered to himself. He was in no mood to celebrate his victory after seeing something like that from the Resonance City elite cavalry.
He felt that they were fortunate because their king was very wise to ally their kingdom with Resonance City.
In contrast, Helena's pupils were still constricted. She still couldn't believe the power of the aura formation.
"With this…With this! Our city shall never fall!"
