I rang the bell at Sofia’s place and heard the hurried sound of footsteps before the door opened, and she appeared.

I shuddered with disgust when I saw her wearing a nightgown with a plunging neckline. It might as well she didn’t wear anything seeing how her breasts nearly spilled out of the dress.

What the fuck was she trying to do? Seduce me?

Sofia’s action of rubbing her body against my arm and Max’s words suddenly flitted through my mind – Sofia has a thing for you.

I tried very hard to deny it.

This was the first time she ever wore such a revealing dress when the two of us were alone. I still wanted to believe that the mate my brother had loved so much wouldn’t have such a filthy and inappropriate thought.

“Hayden… Please, come in.” She reached out to touch my hand, but I dodged it smoothly.

Her smile faltered, but she regained her composure easily, and I acted like I didn’t notice it.

I stood still while she closed the door behind me.
