Capítulo 75: Ransom

"Your Highness, please give me a call if you need anything," Lily says with a smile. Lexzandra smiles back, assuring her that she will.

Lily nods and exits, closing the doors behind her. The room is shrouded in darkness, illuminated only by the pale light of the moon streaming through the window.

Lexzandra counts to ten, then removes the sheets and slips out of bed. She covers her bare arms with a silk robe, tying it securely around her body.

Her heart thumps with a mix of excitement and fear, having been in a hyper state ever since the evening's events.

The cool air brushes against her skin, heightening her senses.

Carefully, she opens the door and peers down the corridor, her breath shallow and quick. Shadows loom along the walls, but the hallway is empty.

She tiptoes out, the plush carpet muffling her movements. She makes her way downstairs, pausing at each corner to listen for any sounds of approaching footsteps.
