Capítulo 39: Under Arrest
The two armored man immediately took their battle stands upon seeing Balance refusing their demand.
But seeing Balance casually walking towards the counter, they were dumbfounded.
''Excuse me, But how do I buy this text on the screen here?'' Balance asked as if there was nothing wrong.
Before the girl at the counter could answer, the armored men charged at Balance.
''You leave us no choice!'' The two said at the same time.
Seeing an incoming attack, Balance flicked his hand.
A wave of wind was created, only by casually flicking his hand.
''Watch out! He is a Wind Element user!'' The man on the left shouted.
But it was already to late, the wave of wind hit the two armored men. The wind was so powerful that the two were flung back against the wall. A large crack formed on the wall before the two men fell to the ground.
The two armored men were badly wounded, it is estimated that more than half of their bones are broken.
The customers screamed in shock before running out of the shop. And so was the girl at the counter.
Seeing the girl at the counter running away, Balance was confused. He just asked a question, why suddenly run away?
''Wait up! You haven't answered my question.'' Balance hurriedly shouted from behind.
The girl turned around before screaming ''You can have it, just don't kill me!''
Balance was a bit confused, he took the screen with him.
When he came outside the shop, a large alarm bell sounded as if it was the end of the world.
Balance looked at the direction of the sound. Then he used [Space Manipulation] to crush the producer of the sound.
After walking outside the shop, he saw a bench and sat down.
Breathing a sigh of relief, he took out the screen.
The screen was the size of a laptop. At the screen were different books visible. When Balance selected a book, he was met with some weird 'Fantasy Novel'.
He quickly read the book and began processing the information. It seemed the world wasn't called Earth anymore, but Etheria. The world had a total of 3 continents and was filled with Elves, Dwarfs, Humans and other races.
Balance instantly became confused. He saw with his own eyes that there were a total of 5 continents. But about the Elves, Dwarfs and other races, he had yet to meet them.
He read further, but when he was halfway through he became even more confused. The book said the wold was in the medieval era, but looking before Balance's eyes there was a futuristic city with all kinds of armored people looking at him.
Balance selected another book, this time he was met with some 'Cultivation Novel'. Balance became a little interested. He read the book until he had to purchase it.
Processing the information, he again became confused. He tried something called 'Cultivating' but utterly failed. It seems these books weren't accurate.
Balance took a deep breath and looked around him.
Balance was fascinated with the vehicles around him. From futuristic to heavily armored vehicles. There were even some futuristic helicopters in the sky.
Looking at the people around him, he started to feel uncomfortable. They were all looking at him.
'Did I do something wrong?' Balance became confused.
Then he looked at the store he came from.
The two men were getting treated by some advanced medical device.
After a couple seconds, a team of 8 people started running towards Balance.
''Drop your weapon, and turn around with your hands behind your back!'' A burly man demanded.
Balance looked at the screen in his hands.
'A weapon?' Balance almost wanted to laugh. From what he saw until now, the screen only gave him fake information.
''Do it now! Or we will take you by force!'' The Burly man warned.
''But the girl said I could take it'' Balance said in a calm tone.
The burly man looked surprised at Balance, he was surprised at how calm Balance was while being surrounded by the Beta Squad.
''Drop it now! This is your last warning!'' This time the burly man became a little annoyed.
Balance let out a sigh before dropping the screen.
''Good, now turn around with your hands behind your back!''
''Huh? But why?'' Balance was greatly confused.
''Captu-''
Before the burly man could finish his sentence, he was interrupted by a woman.
''Don't. I will take it from here, he is a B+ Rank''
All the armored men and women were surprised.
The Beta Squad looked at the woman before respectfully greeting her, it seems she has a powerful position in this society.
The Woman had a domineering aura around her. She was actually quite good looking but also very stern. She had crimson hair that reached to her waist in a wild manner. She was wearing a black pantsuit that made her look even more domineering.
''Young man, please cooperate with us. You are under arrest for using your powers in public and critically injuring two of our men.''
''Critically injuring two of your men? You mean those two? Let me give you my advise, keep your men in check, they randomly started attacking me out of nowhere while I was shopping'' Balance said.
''They have warned you several times, but you ignored them. They had to take action. Now come with us.'' The woman started getting annoyed.
''You mean the warning about using powers in public? But I only jumped to see where I was.''
''I understand, but you still have to come with us. It seems you don't know the rules. You were also at a library, were you perhaps looking for information? If you come with us, we will give you all the information you want.'' The woman smiled.
Balance saw the smile, but nothing was hidden from Balance's eyes. That woman was a demon in human skin, she was very angry.
'I do need information. I'll play along for now, I can always escape.' Balance formed a plan in his mind.
''Okay, do what you need to do.'' Balance replied calmly.
''Smart kid, you know what's good for you.'' The anger diminished a bit.
Following that, Balance was handcuffed with the strange handcuffs. These handcuffs had the letter 'B+' on them. When the handcuffs were connected, Balance felt a sense of weakness. 25.000 stats of every attribute was removed.
Upon seeing Balance still casually standing as if nothing happened, the woman bit her lip in frustration.
Balance was placed in a heavily armored bus.
Balance was surrounded by the so called Beta Squad inside the bus all the way to their destination. It was kinda awkward being stared daggers at by 8 people while in complete silence.
When they arrived at their destination, Balance's entire vision was obstructed by a gigantic building on a gigantic island.
How they suddenly arrived at a gigantic island in the middle of the ocean, Balance didn't know.
