Capítulo 1: Nie Feng
ꟷFour years have already passedꟷ, Nie Feng thought as he looked out the window of his room towards the valley outside his house.
There was an unusual maturity in Nie Feng's eyes, as he did not belong to this world; he was a person from the 21st century on Earth. But by twists of fate, he found death due to carelessness, only to open his eyes again to find himself in the arms of a middle-aged woman.
The first time he experienced all this, he was overwhelmed with surprise. However, he quickly adapted to his new reality. Over time, he immersed himself in exploring his surroundings and came to a surprising conclusion: he had emerged in the world of one of his favorite novels, "Tales of Demons and Gods".
This deduction was based on several key factors. The first was that the woman who had rescued him was named Xiao Yun, her husband was named Nie Ming, and they both had a son the same age as Nie Feng, named Nie Li. Additionally, they belonged to the Celestial Marks family branch, located on the northern border of Glory City, near the outer wall.
With all this relevant information, it was impossible for an avid reader of multiple novels not to realize his situation. The only disappointment he had experienced so far was the absence of the famous system or golden finger that everyone talked about.
It is worth noting that Nie Feng was adopted by Nie Li's family after being found abandoned in a broken carriage halfway. However, he didn't pay much attention to his origin, as he considered them his parents and was immensely grateful for the effort his father made every day to put food on the table. This latter is not a member of the main family, as mentioned earlier. Both of them left the house and headed towards some nearby valleys to run. They passed through some forests, but they didn't stray too far. Nie Feng knew his parents would worry if they went too far.

As the sun set, they decided to head back home with their fishing trophies.
ꟷMom, look what we brought!ꟷ exclaimed Nie Li excitedly, holding the tray of fish.
ꟷWhere did you get so many fish?ꟷ asked their mother, surprised.
ꟷWe caught them in the riverꟷ, said Nie Li excitedly, but then he regretted it when he remembered his mother's warning.
ꟷIn the river? How many times have I told you not to go there because it's dangerous?ꟷ she asked, frowning, expressing her annoyance.
ꟷI'm sorry, momꟷ, they both said in unison, not wanting their mother to scold them all night.
ꟷIt's okay, it's okay, don't worry. It's normal for kids your age to want to play. Plus, with so much fish, we'll be able to eat for several daysꟷ, commented Nie Ming, their father, with a smile, trying to calm the situation.
Annoyed, their mother grumbled as she took the tray of fish and turned away. Seeing her reaction, Nie Ming signaled them both to run to their rooms to change clothes and get ready for dinner, which they did quickly.
When both were ready, they headed to the table to have dinner. Although the food was not very fancy, the atmosphere was very warm, which made Nie Feng quite happy.
At night, when everyone had gone to sleep, Nie Feng opened his eyes as his gaze shifted towards the bed next to him, since he and Nie Li shared the room. Upon realizing that the latter was in a deep sleep, he stood up with the utmost care and slightly opened the shutters on his window, giving him just enough space to slip out.

ꟷDamn it, why does it sound so muchꟷ, Nie Feng complained in his heart.
Hearing the creaking of the wood, but luckily, it wasn't too loud so no one woke up, making him sigh in relief.
Seeing that Nie Li was still asleep and that there was no movement from the room where his parents were, he could infer that they were also in a deep sleep, so he didn't wait any longer and left the house.
He sneaked through the nearby field until he reached a safe distance and then quickened his pace towards the cave he had seen earlier.
It didn't take long for him to arrive outside the cave, but he began to regret not bringing something to light up, so he decided to cut a nearby branch and make the most rustic torch possible.
After finishing and being able to see what was ahead, Nie Feng sighed in relief, so he picked up a small rock from the floor and threw it towards the cave, to see if there was any trap. But after waiting for a while, nothing happened, so he kept throwing some more stones just in case, with the same result.
So he didn't waste any more time and decided to enter, although he was still very careful. The path ahead was neither very large nor very narrow, at least two adult persons could walk shoulder to shoulder without any problem.
Nie Feng continued along the same path for about 10 minutes until he realized that the path opened up further ahead.
Cautiously, he approached, so that when he reached the end, he realized there was a large space inside the cave, which had only a small coffin in the center.
ꟷCould this be the famous coffin of strong-hearted beings that bequeath their inheritance to the person destined as their last wish?ꟷ, Nie Feng thought, stroking his chin, as several ideas crossed his mind. ꟷOr is it one of those old ones seeking to take the bodies of the victims who come to seek their inheritance?
Full of doubts, Nie Feng threw another stone to see if there were more traps and seeing that nothing happened, certain doubts arose in his heart.
ꟷIsn't this too easy?ꟷ He thought, seriously questioning whether it was really worth continuing to advance.
He found it hard to believe that there was nothing defending the tomb.
