Capítulo 52: Chaitra

As Raj approached her, she suddenly went limp, acting as if she had lost consciousness and collapsed into his arms. Startled, Raj instinctively caught her, holding her up. He noticed people nearby starting to take interest in the commotion, and he knew he had to act quickly to avoid drawing too much attention.

Without wasting any time, Raj gently lifted her and carried her to his car, carefully placing her in the seat. He quickly got into the driver's seat and drove away, leaving the curious onlookers behind.

While driving he quickly scanned her:

Name: Chaitra

Health: 10

Strength: 8

Speed: 6

Intelligent: 14

Charm: 20

Luck: 12

Destiny Points: 120

Favorability: 20 ( Friendly )

Related Event: Jigarwala No. 1 / Kick 2

Raj decided to turn his car towards the farmhouse, pondering why Chaitra had come to him. He noticed the related event in her profile which was Jigarwala No.1/Kick 2 but, knowing it was too risky to check while driving, he decided to focus on getting them both to the safety of his villa first.

As he drove through the quiet roads leading to his villa, he glanced over at Chaitra, who seemed to be resting. His mind raced with questions. What could have driven her to such desperation? Why had she stepped in front of his car specifically?

Raj gently placed Chaitra on his bed, making sure she was comfortable. He then sat in a chair in front of the bed, his eyes fixed on the translucent blue screen. Taking a deep breath, he issued a command to the system.

"System, play the event related to her."

The screen flickered, and the title "Kick 2" appeared, accompanied by a series of images and information :

[ Krishna travels to Virginia to meet Kalyan, now settled with his wife, Naina. Kalyan tells him about their son, Robin Hood, whose character starkly contrasts with his father's. Seeking comfort in every aspect of life, Robin moves to Hyderabad to reclaim a plot of land from Settlement Durga. After challenging Durga, Robin moves into the house of Pandit Ravi Teja, the astrologer responsible for the land grab, and makes his life miserable. Aspiring writer Chaitra is smitten by Robin but is rejected, with Robin promising to stay if he falls for her before leaving for Virginia.

Meanwhile, villagers from Vilaspur, oppressed by landlord Solomon Singh Thakur, believe Robin is their savior and follow him. Robin successfully reclaims his land but realizes his feelings for Chaitra just before leaving. He witnesses her kidnapping by villagers from Vilaspur and discovers from her diary that she is from there, prompting him to travel to Vilaspur.

In Vilaspur, the villagers stage a drama to keep Robin there and provoke a confrontation with Thakur. Villager Venkataratnam often undermines their efforts. Thakur's son, Munna, kills a young girl in a drunken state, but this is hidden from Robin. A festival misunderstanding leads to a duel between Munna and Robin, resulting in Munna's coma. Robin challenges Thakur to have Munna fight him again, and Munna is defeated once more. Thakur kills his son when he refuses to fight Robin a third time.

Thakur takes the village hostage, and Robin, feeling betrayed by the villagers' con, leaves. However, at the railway station, Venkataratnam convinces Robin to return. Robin faces Thakur, and Thakur's army turns against him. In the final duel, Robin subdues Thakur and leaves his fate to the villagers, who burn Thakur alive, a punishment he often inflicted on them. The fends with Robin reuniting with Chaitra. ]

While Raj was watching the movie event, Chaitra was silently contemplating her next move, wondering how she should approach Raj. She had hoped her dramatic act would buy her some time to think, but Raj's patience was wearing thin.

Finally, unable to bear the pretense any longer, Raj said firmly, "Are you going to wake up or not? I know you're not unconscious, so stop pretending."

Feeling a mix of embarrassment and relief, Chaitra opened her eyes and sat up. She looked at Raj, her expression a mix of uncertainty and determination.

Raj, looking at her intently, asked, "So, why did you come in front of my car?"

Chaitra, after a moment of contemplation, finally said, "I love you."

Raj, hearing this, realized that she might be playing the same game she had played on Robin in the movie. However, he couldn't understand why she had come to him instead of Robin.

-------- Chaitra's Pov ---------

Is he going to accept that I love him? We had followed Raj's car before, and I think he is more powerful than Robin. Our choice was right – Raj can definitely handle Solomon Thakur and save our village. But I made a mistake. I should have become friends with him first and then proposed to him.

This approach was too abrupt. Now he's suspicious, and who could blame him? I need him to understand that my feelings are genuine and that our village desperately needs his help. I should have thought this through better. Now I just hope I haven't ruined our chances by rushing things.

Should I directly ask him to help our village? But why should he help us? We've gathered information that he's a businessman. He never helps for free. Venkatji also mentioned this. Raj helps people, but not for free. What can I offer him that would tempt him to help us? That's also why I proposed to him. If I became his lover, he would definitely help us.

Why, God, why? Why can't people just help each other for free? First, Robin, who is really selfish – he would never help, and convincing him is very difficult. That's also one of the reasons the whole village chose Raj for help. At least he helps us, and coming here, our guess was right.

---------

Raj knew exactly what kind of game she was playing, but for his own amusement, he decided to play along.

Raj (leaning forward, his voice calm but direct) "What do you even like about me, Chaitra? You do know... I'm not a good man."

He watches her carefully, his gaze sharp and unyielding, waiting to see if she'll flinch or if her answer will reveal something more.

Chaitra (without missing a beat, her smile unwavering) "Maybe that's exactly why I like you, Raj. You're real. No masks, no pretending to be someone you're not."

Raj lets out a low chuckle, but his eyes remain serious, testing her resolve.

Raj, "You say that now. But most people think they can handle the darkness—until they're standing right in the middle of it."
