In an elegant room with large windows offering a panoramic view of a dark, serene forest. The windows, framed by heavy drapes, let in gentle natural light, contrasting with the warm interior glow. Near the window is a tea table with a woman sitting in the chair near it and an old man on standby like a butler. There's also a big two-seater sofa with a coffee table in between. A chandelier adds a touch of opulence, enhancing the refined, comfortable atmosphere.
The woman sitting seems to be not in a very good mood, as it can be seen from her tapping the floor with her high heels. The tea that she is currently drinking should have been able to calm her down, but it's ineffective for this woman. The reason for that is that this woman is really thirsty because she is already a hag, and she also kept thinking of the boy that she met during her childhood.
The old man with slick white hair not far away from the woman sighed while he watched the head of the family behaving like a child, which is unbefitting for the position she is in. "Maya-sama, you're..." he said, but he was cut off.
"I know Hayama, I know, I shouldn't behave like this, but no one is really watching or here right now, so I can do whatever I want." The woman, whose name is Yotsuba Maya, replied to the old butler named Hayama. Maya had long, dark purple hair that cascades in soft waves and sharp, captivating purple eyes. Her well-defined, fair features and dignified presence if she can. She wears a flowing dark magenta dress with a deep V-neckline and black-accented flared cuffs, which accentuate her slender, poised figure. The layered skirt adds depth to her refined look.
"But still, you have to maintain your elegance, Maya-sama, because it could become a habit or the leaders in the branch family will find this inappropriate, which might lead to them asking you to hand over your position to others," Hayama reminded.
The door in the room was opened by someone. Hayama was about to greet the person when Maya interrupted him. "They better do it then! "Why are you so angsty and angry at me all of a sudden? I just arrived here," the woman said teasingly with a smile while she held her cheeks as she walked toward the couch.
Hayama, the old butler, bowed towards the woman. "Welcome back, Miya-sama," he greeted respectfully before looking up again as he watched Miya sit down on the couch. To be honest, he wanted Miya to be the head of the Yotsuba family in the past and even now. However, Miya declined because she wanted to focus on raising her kids while she was free of responsibility from being the head of the family.
The woman whose name is Yotsuba Miya nodded at Hayama. Miya has a composed and elegant appearance, with short, dark purple hair framing her face and striking red eyes. She wears a long, modest dark purple dress with a high neckline adorned with a light purple bow, complemented by long sleeves with black cuffs and subtle white trim. Dark tights and black shoes complete her outfit.
Maya stared at Miya before saying, "You know the reason why, so don't ask me why I'm like this right now." She growled. She also wanted to pounce at her sister and drag her to a cat fight. She could use her magic, but that is over for the sibling fight.
"Maa, Maa. Maa, I already apologized for the delay because of the works in 4LT, which were a lot more than I expected," Miya replied with a smile while she waved her hands left and right. Even though she had a proxy to run the company, she is still needed to do second-checking stuff to make sure everything is running smoothly.
"If only you let your ex-husband work there for a while before firing him, then we could have met my hero already," Maya said.
Miya frowned. "Don't remind me of that fool," she said in an annoyed tone. "I had to fire him because both he and his harlot insulted Tatsuya the last time they met, and at the same time they had the audacity to order him to quit school just because they wanted him to work more for the company," she explained furiously.
"Ohh... why didn't you tell me this earlier? Now you are forgiven for delaying to meet my savior," Maya said as she came to the realization that her annoyance is unfounded.
"Wait...hold on... Why didn't you meet him on your own?" Miya asked.
Maya explained while blushing that she needed back because she is quite shy and doesn't know what to say, but she does not know that Oreki is quite charismatic and forces others to talk or do whatever they want around him.
Miya at the Maya's beet red appearance: "You know you're twice his age, right?" She said teasingly, but honestly, she is happy that her twin is finding the man of her dreams.
"I may be old, but my heart is quite young," Maya said confidently.
After hearing what Maya said, Miya just smiled before asking her why she called her here and when they would go to 9SC.
"The No Head Dragon and the Dahan are making a move tomorrow against him," Maya said.
"Gun Jie?" Miya asked with a frown.
Maya nodded with a smile, making Miya say, "And I assume it's not about the money the he bet."
Maya nodded. "It's already known that Oreki can use Mental Interference Magic masterfully," she said, pausing a bit and thinking about the incident she witnessed that time when Oreki commanded her captors to kill themselves.
After drinking tea, Maya continued, "And plus the rumors about him being a member of our family because you know our family are mainly MIM users," she said before picking up the tea cup and drinking the tea to parch her mouth. "He and Dahan want to kidnap him to do what they failed to do to me in the past and also do that as a form of revenge against our family for the Kunlunfang Incident," she explained more with a smile.
"That might be the dumbest move they could ever do in our POV, but in them, they think they can take us on. Are they not scared that we do the Kunlunfang Incident that Oreki-san and his group did but on a larger scale?" Miya asked with a hint of anger.
"Indeed." Maya agreed, as she does not know why Gu Jie and his cronies are making these stupid moves, and the only reason she could think is that they think that the Yotsuba family won't make move that could escalate to a full-blown war.
"What about the Great Asian Union? You know they're also still pissed about the Kunlunfang Incident," Miya said while she leaned back.
"They're not really going to do anything against him, but they'll be mobilizing their troops to Yokohama to cause a disturbance from what I research," Maya shrugged, as she does not care what their objective is.
Miya then closed her eyes as she devoured that information before opening it again. "Then tomorrow we'll be there to support him in case he needs help," she asked with a smile.
"I doubt he needs help, but I want to be there to watch his event live," Maya said as she looked outside the night sky while thinking about their meeting.
"Should we inform Tatsuya-sama and Miyuki-sama about your arrival tomorrow?" The silent Hayama asked.
Maya then turned her sight to Hayama before saying, "Contact them via video call."
With that said, Hayama complied.
