Capítulo 9: Arrival in Brackenwood Town
After walking for 4 hours, I finally saw that the size of the trees was getting smaller, and there were more and more well-paved roads used by the people. It seemed that we were finally getting out of this forest. Just as we walked a little more, we were finally able to see more and more people. There were even some carriages.
After tirelessly walking for a long day, they decided to take a rest. They sat near a road, lit a bonfire, and sat around it. Two guys were resting while one guy sat and guarded the other two. They all changed the cycle every 2 hours, getting each member a rest of 4 hours. After resting for 6 hours, these guys started to walk again.
I was getting bored of just seeing these guys walk without talking much. At least they could talk so that I could get some information about this world or this place. These guys were too afraid after the tiger incident and just wanted to go home as fast as possible.
After a very long time, people and carriages in the surroundings became more and more frequent. As we continued forward, we could see a huge wall on which soldiers were patrolling, and there was a name written above the gate of the huge wall: Welcome to Brackenwood Town.
After seeing the town walls, I was so excited that finally, I could meet new people, as I was getting too bored just talking with the system. The party of these three guys stood in line and waited to enter the town. It seemed that they needed to wait to enter the town. The guards at the door were checking everyone and asking some basic questions to whoever was going inside the town. After waiting for so long, finally, these guys got their chance. The guards asked them some basic questions and allowed them to enter the town.
As Lucas stepped through the towering gates of Brackenwood, the town was like a vibrant picture of life and color. The cobblestone streets, worn smooth by countless footsteps, were full of bustling market stalls and quaint shops. The air was filled with the mingled scents of freshly baked bread, exotic spices, and the earthy aroma of herbs. Merchants and vendors called out to passersby, their voices creating a lively hum that blended with the occasional clang of a blacksmith's hammer from a nearby forge. The architecture was a charming mix of medieval and fantastical, with timber-framed houses sporting thatched roofs and brightly painted facades. The town square was full of different people and was very lively.
As I followed these people to an inn in the market, they went to a room where their leader said, "We should not take any more risks to find a red lily flower. Even without it, we can try to join the sects. We were very lucky that some cultivators saved us today." To which the woman replied, "What Aldric is saying is right. From our village, only we three have some chances to get into a sect and become cultivators. Now we should just rest and wait for the sect entrance test that will take place after 15 days."

After listening to these people's conversations, I learned that their names were Aldric, Baldwin, and Daphne, with Aldric being the leader. These people seemed to have come from their village to take part in some exams to join the sect. This exam was after 25 days, and they went to the forest to find some Qi herbs. After talking with the system, I followed the lady to her room as I didn't want to stay with two men and watch them all the time. After going to her room, the lady went to take a bath, which obviously I didn't see. I just stayed in the room and didn't watch her. After she slept, I started to think about what I should do now, as from hearing them, there would be a sect entrance exam after 25 days. I have read many novels in my last life, so I know what a sect means in the cultivation world. There, I can get all the resources and information easily that I can't get normally from somewhere else. I can even collect enough source points to create a body in the next 25 days to join the exam by myself to enter the sect.
So I told the system to put me to sleep and wake me up tomorrow when I wake up or my absorption limit gets reset.
