POV: Jackie/Janet
My memories didn't immediately come back to me all at once, unlike those stories of people remembering there entire lives in the womb or at birth.
It started slow, little things and information came through. Knowledge like how to read and write already there. Like an amnesiac. It probably would have continued like this if it wasn't for the car accident I had a year ago.
Everything came back to me all at once, at the age of five. Luckily this car accident didn't cost me my life. Later in the hospital a doctor, with the face of an older Jacob, came in and gave me a letter.
It explained my ability. I would make those I touch happy, energetic, and relaxed. I was basically an anti-depressant in human form.
Luck me, I guess. At least the world I'm in isn't a dangerous one like a cultivation one, or a medieval one. Gotta love the modern life. Maybe I could become a therapist with this ability.
After the car accident my parents decided to move me into a countryside home with the nanny. Apparently in this life I was born into wealth, but my parents are a bit absent.
The relaxing environment did help my readjust to living in the child's body. I am not looking forward to puberty again though.
It was around the age of seven that I made some friends. Well only one really, his name is Jeff. He has an older brother, and he's a bit off.
Like one time we were walking down a abandoned road, that I swear wasn't there before and we saw a monotone circus tent… The idiot wanted to go in and explore, this obviously suspicious place, while I refused. In the end I had to threaten him with his big brother.
The odd thing was that the road disappeared the next day. This made me even more vigilant of my surroundings as this type of thing only happens in horror stories, or anime. Both of which I wouldn't like to be in the narrative for.
It was only when I turned 11 that I learned just exactly what world I was in.
