Capítulo 32: Chapter 30:Myr(Lhorulu's POV)
I am a goddess and I will prove this to my husband. I am no frail maiden that needs to be protected, although I like it sometimes, to be protected by my mighty warrior. It is a pity that I and husband are not having sex recently because he fears accidentally aborting our child. I have to be content with just *r*l and *n*l for now, not that it is not nice, but is not just the same thing. As a goddess, my pregnancy is gonna be longer than a normal one. Damn assassin stopping my bedtime with hubby. Our destination is Myr.
Goods from Myr include pale green nectar wine, carpets, screens, blankets, mirrors, and lace. The mirrors from Myr are far inferior to the ones made in the freehold and the ones from Ar Noy. Their carpets and blankets would probably be second only to the ones from the freehold if not for Anga. Myrish paintings and miniatures are regarded highly and have a vivid style. I can not deny they have great painters and are for sure the most artistic of valyria colonies and they make good screens. Myr also produces thin stilettos and fire wine. Myrish fire is a healing herb used to treat cuts.
Myr history is a mess. The city is said to have already been under the rule of the first men, the andals, the pentoishi, us rhoynars, and the ghiscari, and know the valyrians, in a way that made it hard to tell the city's true origin.
"The city ships would be a pain to deal with later, they would probably go deeper sea with the rich ready to escape at the first sign of losing. Not only that we would probably have to siege Myr. If only we could freeze the sea, not only would it cut off the enemy escape, but it would open as a path to enter the most vulnerable part of the city."Said Alleras, my uncle-in-law.
"Great idea." I said. For some reason, he looked at me strangely.
Myr can be found on the edge of the Narrow Sea, off the coast of the Sea of Myrth. To the north lie many towns and villages, as well as the river Myridhos - the northmost border of Myrish claim. To the east, lay Chroyane. We took a while marching from Tyrosh land coast to Myr.
Our army sieges the city, until night came. After the sunset, the climate became colder, the sky became cloudy and it snowed. By "luck", the near coast of Myr bay became frozen. It was not easy but we marched on the ice entering the city by the coast from there we spread through the city quickly dividing Myr's army. the remaining survivors surrendered. It was easy thanks to Alleras suggestion. We freed the slaves and went to the work reparation that my husband used at Volon Therys.
"Now that the city was taken over are you prepares, uncle-in-law?"I asked Alleras.
"Prepared for what?"Alleras asked.
"To take over Myr prince position" I said.
We already have combined our division of war spoils with Sarhoy. Pentos would be a gift for Ghoyan Drohe for an alliance, mainly because of how hard defended the isolated city from Grohan Drohe, which controls there everything but the port. Tyrosh was left to spoil. The stepstone was shared between Sar Mell and Sarhoy royal families. Lys was given to Sarhoy, while Sar Mell would be given Myr.
"Why me?" He asked.
"Why you? You gave the suggestion that won us the war much easier."I said.
"When? It was a miracle wasn't it?" He said.
"Maybe."I concluded.
Myrish seems to like zoos a lot. The city has incredible zoos spread throughout it. It was so cool visiting them all. There were elephants that I was already familiar with. Also, the dwarf version of them was so cute.
I saw crocodiles, jeweled lizards, banded snakes, black adder, water snakes, white snakes, black turtles, bonesnappers, brown turtles, clawed turtles, flatbacks, horned turtles, phantom tortoises, red-ear, sea turtles, eagles, falcons, gyrfalcons, kestrels, peregrine falcons, gooses, gulls, hawks, goshawk, parrowhawks, herons, kites, magpies, martlets and merlins.
I was also able to see zorses, direwolves, shadowcats, unicorns, giant elks, giant ice spiders, mammoths, and even a wyvern. The interesting thing is that it said that the zoos here are merely cheap imitations of the ones in the freehold. The animals seem sad though not because they are caged and receive food without hunting or having to survive in the wild, but because their takers usually beat them up, and some are also enchained.
The Grand Menagerie is the greatest, oldest, and most secretive of Myr's zoos, hosting animals from across the known world - and some from even further out. The Menagerie is the one that holds a wyvern. It was previously run by one of the Five Families of Myr.
The Grand Menagerie made me sad though, it not only has animals, but also the human experiments of the valyrians. There were wolfhumans(humans with wolf ears and nails), cat men and women, two-headed humans, snake-like humans with big tongues that make a hissing sound and fags, and so on... All of them have dead eyes. Every single one of them is condemned to a health problem because of their bodies. The wolfhumans are deaf, because of the animal ears put in them, and seem to be developing a tumor that is slowly killing them. The catmen/woman were blind and had a bone illness. The two-headed human were having to share a heart for their two heads and have lung diseases. The snake-like humans were having their own bodies rotting from the inside by their natural poison. Many more. How can these valyrian bastards be so cruel to experiment on humans like this?! It was impossible to imagine all their pain...
I am the goddess of the Lhorulu waters, the bringer of happiness, but I could not save them for their suffering.
"Take them to the river" I ordered the guards.
Strangely enough, some of the artificial beings show fear, while others show acceptance and there were some with even joy.
So we threw them in Myridhos river, then I cut my hand, spilling blood.
"I pray, in this foreign water for you mother. Please, help save these people. I don't know what to do"I prayed.
The water shined blue and then all of them were healed. Mother is incredible.
"Thank you very much, Mother."
From a two-head human now, there were a man and a woman completely healthy. From the werewolves, cat men/women, and snake-like humans, there were several healthy skinchangers.
"Now that you are healed. Know that you are free, some of you may not understand the deep of this word and it doesn't matter, with time I hope you know. Now you only need to know that these worlds uphold the truth." I said to them in a deep voice. Then, most of my work was trying to arrange a new life for these people that were caged and displayed all their life. I have them learn letters and a craft that they chose because I believe it's never too late to learn.
We did not have to advance to Pentos, as we learned Groyan Drohe has already taken over the city. So for now, this war was over.
