Han Nari was naturally aware of Su Ming-Yu's subtle movements. Maybe it was because of their earlier conversation... or maybe it was because of the Centurion Black Gold Card in her possession.
Regardless, she didn't move away. Instead, she leaned into Su Ming-Yu's arms.
Her behavior made Su Ming-Yu feel a little confused. If she had fallen in love with him just because of what he had said earlier, he couldn't believe it.
After all, Han Nari was the second most popular girl in the university, admired by countless boys. There had to be more to it.
But the system had indicated that she was really interested in him. Still, Su Ming-Yu decided to play it safe and not push his luck.
He simply held her without taking things further. This restraint seemed to touch Han Nari, who turned her head to look at him before speaking softly.
"Can you do me a favor?" she asked, her large, playful eyes sparkling as she blinked up at him.
Her appearance, a perfect mix of cute and seductive, was enough to make anyone's heart race. Su Ming-Yu had to admit that her charm was powerful.
Inside, Han Nari felt confident. 'Let's see if you can resist,' she thought to herself.
But then Su Ming-Yu coldly replied: "No.
Her eyes widened in shock. She glared at him with her hands on her hips and said angrily.
"Do you know how many men would line up to help me if I asked?
Su Ming-Yu's smile deepened. "Defense broken. She's rattled," he thought to himself.
Seeing Su Ming-Yu's indifference, Han Nari's frustration grew. She stomped her foot in annoyance. "Idiot! Just you wait!"
With that, she turned her slender waist and stormed off. Moments later, Su Ming-Yu ran after her.
Hearing his footsteps, Han Nari couldn't help but feel pleased. "Ha! He tries to act indifferent, but in the end, he can't resist me. You're still too young to play hard to get with me!"
Pretending to walk casually, she waited for Su Ming-Yu to catch up. When he tapped her on the shoulder, she turned around with a proud expression on her face.
"You have insulted me! No matter what you say, I won't forgive you unless you're sincere!" she said smugly.
Su Ming-Yu stared at her confusedly, like he was looking at an idiot. "Seriously? I wanted to ask you for my bank card."
He held out his hand. Han Nari stared at him, her beautiful eyes blazing with indignation. If looks could kill, Su Ming-Yu would be dead by now.
Still fuming, Han Nari reluctantly pulled the Centurion Black Gold Card out of her pocket and thrust it into his hand. "Take it, you idiot!"
With that, she turned around and walked away, her face flushed with anger.
Su Ming-Yu just shook his head. "Woman..."
He looked at the black map in his hand and remembered something he had seen on a map earlier. He was heading straight for Gangnam District.
Seoul in 1995 wasn't as developed as it is now, and Gangnam was still on the outskirts. It was an underdeveloped, unregulated area.
Su Ming-Yu remembered seeing an apartment for sale at a very low price in that area. A 120-square-meter apartment cost about 110 million won, with a 30% down payment and low interest rates.
Despite these favorable conditions, not many units had been sold because the real estate market was sluggish.
Su Ming-Yu had a faint memory of this community. The developer had gone bankrupt because the buildings weren't selling, resulting in a broken capital chain.
Unable to pay his debts, the developer had been forced to mortgage the land to the bank. Then, in March, the real estate market boomed and the developer jumped to his death.
The name of the developer was vaguely familiar to Su Ming-Yu: Taek Seong-cheol.
A plan began to form in Su Ming-Yu's mind. "Maybe 100 million won could get me out of this mess. If I can secure the property with a full lease, I'll have more than 20 days to make it happen. That should be enough."
With his mind made up, Su Ming-Yu went straight to Hanyang community.
