Capítulo 39: Ch-39
At the gym, Dongjun Ha approached Kang Suyeon as soon as he saw her.
He greeted her enthusiastically, "Miss, are you here to sign up for fitness?"
Kang Suyeon frowned slightly at his forward behavior and turned to Su Ming-Yu as if to ask what was going on.
Su Ming-Yu, notorious for his protective streak, noticed Dongjun's attempt to take advantage of his woman. His expression darkened and his voice became cold.
"Even if she's here to train, it's none of your business!"
Dongjun Ha sneered contemptuously and looked Su Ming-Yu up and down. "The gym is for real men. You don't belong here, you sissy!"
Unimpressed, Su Ming-Yu grinned and replied, "Then how about a little bet?"
"What kind of bet?" Dongjun asked, his contempt obvious.
"We'll compete in weightlifting. Since you are so proud of your muscles, let's see who is stronger," Su Ming-Yu challenged.
Dongjun laughed arrogantly. "All right, but don't cry if you lose."
"The loser gets down on his knees and begs for forgiveness. Deal?" Su Ming-Yu added with an icy look.
Dongjun, brimming with overconfidence, agreed. "Hah! No way I'll lose. Get ready to grovel!"
Turning to Kang Suyeon, Dongjun whistled flirtatiously. "After I crush this guy, how about a candlelight dinner?"
Kang Suyeon ignored him, her focus solely on Su Ming-Yu.
The growing crowd muttered in anticipation. Seonjoo, curious about the commotion, approached and frowned when she saw Dongjun and Su Ming-Yu by the barbell.
"What is Dongjun doing now? If he upsets Mr. Su, he'll regret it," Seonjoo muttered to herself.
Both men stepped up to lift a 50-kilogram barbell. Dongjun completed the lift with ease, as did Su Ming-Yu. Seonjoo raised her eyebrows in surprise.
"Mr. Su may look skinny, but his core strength is impressive," she thought.
Kang Suyeon smiled softly when Su Ming-Yu succeeded and gently dabbed the sweat from his forehead with a handkerchief. Dongjun saw this and clenched his fists in anger.
"You're strong, but luck won't save you now!" Dongjun growled, his face red with anger.
Su Ming-Yu smiled. "All that mouth muscle isn't helping, is it?"
The crowd burst into laughter at Su Ming-Yu's jab, further enraging Dongjun Ha.
"Add 100 kilograms!" Dongjun barked, glaring at the gym assistant.
With difficulty, Dongjun managed to lift the heavier barbell over his head before triumphantly slamming it down.
"Your turn, sissy," he sneered.
Su Ming-Yu calmly opened his system panel. In the mall section, he found an item labeled [Natural Strength].
[Permanent Unlock: Limited-Time Discount - 50 Points.]
He tapped the unlock button, and a familiar voice echoed in his mind:
[Ding! 50 points successfully deducted. Congratulations! Natural Strength unlocked.]
[Natural Strength (Level 1): Arm strength increased by 1200 kilograms. No usage restrictions.]
Feeling his newfound strength, Su Ming-Yu confidently approached the dumbbell. The crowd's eyes widened as they turned their attention to him.
