FUSING VR TECH WITH AR TECH, GPS AND LIDAR TO REDUCE DANGER OF COLLISIONS ASSOCIATED WITH ENVIRONMENTAL OBSTACLES(28th March,2024)
The Concept revolves around Echolocation utilized by most blind animals such as Bats, Whales and Moles. It begins with integrating LIDAR Tech into VR Goggles to allow for Mapping of the Users Environment then adjusting the VR World to account for these Obstacles allowing the User to navigate the Real World's Obstacles by avoiding corresponding Obstacles in the VR World whose obstacles will change in response to Environmental Data captured by the LIDAR Tech in the VR Goggles thus preventing the Dangers associated with Blindness and Obstacle Collisions by the User in the Real World thus making it possible for users to utilize VR Goggles outdoors.
It's an issue of Mapping;
Mapping Environmental Obstacles to Obstacles within the VR World taking into context the genre of the VR World.
Vehicles for instance could be mapped to dangerous Mythical Beasts in the VR World if the VR World is a Fantasy World etc.
One could also integrate GPS Systems into the Mapping Of The Virtual World to help with Environmental Map Generation thus allowing the Real and Virtual Worlds to align preventing accidents in the Real World which mainly occur through Disassociative Mapping, where obstacles in the Real World are not accounted for in the Virtual and Vice Versa.
Associative Mapping is thus Key to this issue. Since GPS is available to almost everyone, VR World Designers would need to start including this into the Generation Of Their Worlds to minimize the Dangers associated with Disassociative Mapping.
