Capítulo 159: A Furious Outburst

As soon as the words left my mouth, I almost bit my tongue off—not out of regret, but because I felt incredibly foolish.

Sure enough, Joy looked at me with a smile, but I could sense a hint of hostility behind it.

My father broke the tension, "What are you saying? You should go and see him off! Mr. Wilson has had some drinks; he shouldn't be driving."

"Oh!" I responded, standing up. "Alright!"

In the car, he told me, "Drive to Golden Star International."

My heart settled a bit. Golden Star International was much closer than Jingyuan, but I didn't understand why he wasn't going back to Jingyuan.

As if reading my mind, he said, "Jingyuan is too far. I wouldn't be comfortable with you driving back alone."

Hearing his words, I wasn't sure if I should be happy or grateful.

Could I interpret this as him caring about me?

We didn't speak much during the drive. When we arrived at Golden Star Tower, he commanded, "Come up with me."
