Capítulo 27: The End of The Titan King...

No POV

Battered and covered in ichor, Kronos lay stoically with a grimace etched on his face. Though his injuries were apparent, he refused to give in to the pain. His lips twisted into a bitter smile, revealing a steely resolve that belied his physical condition. Despite the excruciating pain and his godly abilities, he chose to remain lying on the ground, refraining from using his divine powers to mend his injuries.

At present, the long-drawn-out conflict that was taking place at the foothills of Mount Othrys had finally reached a standstill. The Titan army had lost all hope and surrendered at the sight of their King, who was now in a severely bruised and beaten state, unable to continue the fight.

The three mighty beings stood around their once-powerful father, their divine presence slowly fading away as they reverted to their standard forms. They looked upon their defeated progenitor with a mixture of astonishment and shock as they struggled to come to terms with the reality of the situation.

After the epic battle with Kronos, the siblings could finally catch their breath and assess the situation. Kronos was defeated and didn't seem to have any intention of resuming the fight. The only thing left was to hold their father accountable for his past actions. However, as they reflected on their long-standing grievances, they found their once-burning desire for retribution waning. The complicated emotions and conflicting impulses left them unsure of how to proceed.

Before they could give up, their father's feeble voice, barely a whisper, reverberated across the mountain like thunder and drew their attention. "Do not lose faith now, my sons. You have come too far to turn back; to do so would dishonor all the hard work and sacrifices you have made to reach this moment."

Hades, the mighty god who had previously been a fierce advocate for the severe punishment his siblings had devised for their father, now found himself indecisive. His eyes were fixed upon the cursed scythe lying at his feet, and they betrayed the internal confling within him. Despite his earlier conviction, Hades seemed hesitant, unsure of the right course of action.

With a determined stride, Zeus approached the scythe of Kronos, his movements cautious as if he feared the weapon would lash out at him. Despite any doubts or fears, he picked up the scythe with a sense of purpose, ready to use it for whatever lay ahead.

Despite their deep-seated reservations and disagreements, Poseidon and Hades chose not to voice their objections. Instead, they strode forward with purposeful steps towards their formidable father, determined to restrain him by force if necessary. But despite his weakened state, Kronos was still brimming with power and vitality, and he made no move to resist his sons' efforts to hold him in place. With a look of grim resignation, he allowed himself to be subdued.

As he cast his eyes upon the scythe, which now rested in the grip of his youngest offspring, laughter burst forth from the mouth of the elderly Titan. The irony of the situation was not lost upon the Titan King, and his amusement was tinged with a deep bitterness.

As his son advanced towards him, Kronos remained unfazed and composed, not a hint of trepidation visible on his countenance. Instead, his expression was one of tranquil acceptance as he gazed directly into his son's eyes, finding solace in the comforting embrace of the restraining arms. Despite the impending clash between father and son, the ancient Titan exuded a sense of peace that belied the gravity of the situation.

With a firm grip on the scythe, Zeus lifted it above his head, ready to strike. He maintained a calm demeanor as he faced his father, waiting for his response. The Titan's eyes wandered between his son's faces before settling on his daughter's and wife, who stood just a few feet away. The air was tense as they all waited for what would come next.

Kronos spoke with a heavy heart, his words pouring out of him almost unconsciously. "Once, I stood in your place, basking in the glory of victory over my own father. But now, as I look back, I see that my mistake was listening to him. My actions cost me everything I cherished. I don't want to fill your hearts with fear or hatred in my final moments. All I ask is that you learn from my mistakes, and don't let fear and prophecy lead to your ruin. Remember that you are all my true children, born of The Crooked One..."

Upon hearing the words of the Titan King, Rhea and Hestia couldn't help but burst into tears, their sorrow palpable and heart-wrenching. However, the other Kroenids maintained their composure, their faces betraying no emotion as they stood before their father.

With a roar of overwhelming grief and seething anger, Zeus gripped the scythe tightly, his muscles bulging as he swung the weapon down with all his might upon his father, Kronos. The force of the blow was so great that it shattered the ground beneath them, sending a shockwave through the air reverberating across the landscape. At that moment, Zeus was consumed by a raging fury that would only subside once he had found solace in the comforting embrace of his mother. As for Kronos, his godly form was torn to ribbons by the scythe's razor-sharp blade, scattering bits of his divine essence around the destroyed peak of Mount Othrys.

As the other Kroenids and their mother, Rhea, grieved over the loss of the father they never knew, Hades took on the responsibility of collecting the essence of Kronos. He placed it into a tightly sealed jar with utmost care, fully intending to scatter it away to the farthest reaches of Tartarus. The process required immense concentration and unwavering focus, as the slightest mistake could result in catastrophic consequences. Nonetheless, Hades remained resolute in his duty, determined to ensure that the essence of Kronos would never again threaten the safety and well-being of the world above...
