As the sun began to set, casting a warm golden hue over the Moriarty estate, Elliot, Alice, and Samuel gathered on the living room floor. Samuel had spread out a collection of his toys, and the family was playing together, immersed in their little world of laughter and imagination.
Suddenly, Samuel paused, a curious expression crossing his face. "Mom, Dad," he said, looking up at them with wide, innocent eyes. "How did you two meet?"
Elliot and Alice exchanged glances, momentarily at a loss for words. The question hung in the air, echoing with memories they had not shared in a long time. "Well, um…" Elliot began, scratching the back of his head as he thought. "That's a great question, Sammy. It's quite a story."

"Complicated?" Samuel echoed, tilting his head in confusion. "What does that mean?"
Elliot knelt down to Samuel's level, trying to find the right words. "It means that sometimes, when things are special, they're also… a little tricky to explain. But we promise we'll tell you all about it one day."
Samuel's brow furrowed. "But I want to know now!"
Alice chuckled, ruffling Samuel's hair affectionately. "I know you do, darling, but some stories are best saved for when you're a bit older. We want to make sure you understand everything."
"Yeah," Elliot added, smiling. "When you grow up, we'll share all the details. It's a story full of adventure, love, and a few surprises."
Samuel pouted slightly, crossing his arms. "Okay, but I really want to know! I'll hold you to that promise!"
Elliot laughed, his heart warm with affection for his son's determination. "Deal! Just remember, every story has its time. And we want you to be ready for it."
"Fine," Samuel said, conceding with a sigh, though his eyes sparkled with intrigue. "But I'll keep asking until you tell me!"
As they resumed their play, Elliot and Alice exchanged a knowing smile, grateful for the bond they shared as a family. They knew that the journey of their love was something special, one that would be revealed in due time.
