Capítulo 10: Olympus Is Cool. Oizys Was Important? HAHA…No

(Hello. Just letting you know not to worry about if you see chapters being updated. Most of the time it is just minor spelling or SPAG problems that I spot and annoy me.

If it is anything major I would inform you unless it spoils the story.)

The sun shone down onto me as I watched the body of Oizys disappearing into a symphony of yellow particles.

I took a deep breath and finally relaxed my body, returning to my normal form. The fatigue I had expected to overcome me like the endless days of forging, never occurred, in fact, I felt more powerful by leaps and bounds.

I looked upwards as I heard a shout saying, "Hephaestus!"

I teleported upwards, due to my now expanded godly abilities, and saw Algaea, breathing heavily.

"Algaea…why are you here? I thought I said to go to the village," I asked her annoyed.

"I just…I thought I could have been of help to you but, it seems it was unneeded," she told me with a sigh.

I look around to notice the aftermath of the skirmish as the once trap-covered environment became more of a small wasteland stricken with the effects of the insane heat I had let out earlier.

This place was a beautiful, large and empty field which made it the optimal place to layout and prepare a battlefield.

Clearly, that didn't even matter that much since I learned that I cannot just rely on the power of my inventions to carry me through my life anymore.

"Hephaestus! You're okay!" My mother, Thetis calls out to me warmly.

I look over to her and see Eurynome and Theodore following behind.

"Yes. I am fine mother," I said embracing her in a small hug.

"I see that," she laughed, still holding me.

The others just sit back and look around at the state of the field around us, more importantly, the huge ravine I had opened up from my divine hammer.

I look over to Theodore, giving him a nod which he returned.

"I still cannot believe you beat her. That you are here in my arms. Now, we can go back and celebrate-""I'm leaving mother," I cut her off before she can get too excited.

I could feel her arms instantly leave my body as she backs away to look at me in pure shock.

"What are you saying Hephy?" she asked, calling me my old nickname.

"I am going to Olympus," I told her bluntly.

"W-Why would you go there?" Eurynome cuts in, her voice shaking slightly.

"Oizys, in her final moment, told me that she would be back with the wrath of those who would be willing to help her," I began to explain, "I must make sure that does not happen,"

"I will go to my mother and step-father. I'm sure that I will be able to gain the favor of those on the mountain my own way and make the power that Oizys think she holds nothing," I told them.

"Not just her. I don't know if her siblings would just wait for her to be back. One may be coming for me right now," I explained to them all further.

"Hephy…that would mean…you knew?" Thetis asks me shaking.

"I did," I said calmly, "I'm sorry…you too have kept many secrets from me, so I decided I too would have a little one of my own-""I AM YOUR MOTHER!" Thetis screamed at me for the first time in this life.

I was taken aback at her attitude, assuming surely she would understand me?

"I KEPT SECRETS TO PROTECT YOU! IF I HADN'T…If I hadn't you never would have seen me as your mother," she said, crying slightly.

"If it was like that then surely I would be gone for Olympus already…but still I stayed here," I told her, bringing her into a hug.

"Do not be mistaken I love the both of you," I said looking towards Thetis and Eurynome, "However I must do this to protect myself and this island,"

Thetis and Eurynome both looked to the ground for a few moments before the latter said, "Be safe on while you're away,"

The reassurance of her words brought a smile upon my face as I could now leave without worrying about how they would be without me.

"Thank you…both of you," I said giving them one last embrace before they decided to leave, Theodore following them.

I was interrupted from watching their departing bodies by Algaea who grabbed my hand.

"I'm going to miss you Hephaestus," she said sweetly.

"Me too," I replied staring into her eyes, "I'll make sure to give it my all," I said, flexing my arm muscles.

She giggled and said, "Sure sure, now go and leave before your ego becomes bigger than those arms,"

I too laughed before turning.

I paused for a few moments, wanting to say more to Algaea, but decided to swiftly leave. However, Algaea had grabbed my arm before pulling me towards her…

….

Mount Olympus is unbelievably scenic.

Gods and Goddesses of all kinds grace the lands with their beauty.

Constructs made by the Cyclopes themselves offer infinite attraction to all those near, especially the walls…

Grass so clear it seemed that Demeter had spent the time she was away from Persephone tending to just this area.

It was a large mountain graced with the sunshine of Apollo and the constant care of its residents.

However, it is currently the time of the winter solstice.

This is the darkest day of the year, where certain evils begin to start moving…

"Why hasn't anything happened yet today?" Zeus murmured to himself as he slouched on his throne.

All the Gods have gathered today; Hades also included as this was the only time of the year he was allowed to come to Olympus.

Unfortunately, since Hades has not been given his throne on Olympus, instead of having it rest in the Underworld, he has only been assigned a simple stone chair.

"So…Aither…why do you wish to interrupt this meeting to consult us?" Zeus pondered, eying down the God of Light in front of him.

"I sensed an incredible light! It was so bright! Sp bright it engulfed my sister!" Aither shouted, his tone betraying the distress of his words.

He truly is a complete airhead.

"Your sister…your wife?" Zeus wondered since the God had many sisters…Ah…he DOES have many SISTERS, doesn't he?

Zeus suddenly remembered the mother and completely shut out any thoughts he began to have.

"No! The one with the chains! I kinda forgot her name but someone has killed her!" he said, not at all sounded worried.

"Oizys?" Athena asked him, sounding more surprised than she should be, "She was killed? Do you know how long her banishment will last Hades?"

"Oizys? Hmmm…A few centuries," He replied.

"Holy crap a few centuries?!" Ares shouted, fidgeting in his seat, "She must have had a painful death!"

"That is hardly the subject of concern Ares," Athena reprehended him, "Oizys, a child of Nyx, has been 'banished'. We do not know how Nyz will take this,"

Athena knew that this was a possibility. However, it was an extremely low one. Because of that, she knew that Nyx may be angered; She trusted in the might of the Olympians however, so she knew no harm would come to her.

Surely there wasn't a being that could defeat all of them by themselves…

"We will be fine," Hades said, "Nyx informed me that Oizys had this coming for her, challenging this child,"

Hades turned, eying Athena, as if telling her through his eyes:

'I KNOW'

Athena returned his stare before turning her attention back to the meeting.

"Poor Oizys, to be banished for such a long time," Demeter said quietly, being the typical sympathetic goddess she was.

"The pathetic get what is coming for them," Artemis said, her small, childish form seemingly dwarfed by the throne she sat upon.

"I have just come here to inform you all! It's just that this light felt so very familiar!" Aither gave Hera a small side-eye, which nobody noticed.

"Fine, you may leave then," Zeus spoke, watching as Aither turned into a cloud, dispersing into a multitude of directions.

"Now then, let us continue-""Hello?" A small shout interrupted the 11 Olympians.

The door to the throne room opened slowly as a tall, muscular figure walked through, carrying with them strange gadgets all across their belt.

Hera stared in shock and surprise as she looked upon the familiar fiery marks and dark chestnut skin.

"Ah!" he exclaimed looking at the 11, "Seems I'm in the right place thanks to the lovely people outside,"

"Zeus!" they began, standing up straight as all the gods and goddesses' attention was fully set on him, confused and interested.

"I've come to bargain!"

….

Some time ago…

Hades stared at Persephone, his wife for many years.

In his hand, he held a glass of wine given to him by Dionysus some random day of some random year of some random who really cares?

He slouched into his throne and stared at her lovingly, "I shouldn't stare at her for too long, my wife would be angry with me,"

The wine has too quickly gotten to the poor God's head.

"That IS your wife, M'Lord," Thanatos said as he stood behind; a small rare smile came upon his face.

Hades stared in shock for a few moments before leaping from his chair and walking over shouting, "MY WIFE!"
