What exactly is the "Hero Killer" Stain's Quirk?
Midoriya Izuku frantically thought during the brief pause in their fight. The enemy's actions clearly aimed to create a wound on him, as indicated by the blades he carried.
At the same time, Midoriya thought of the professional hero Iida Tenya had saved. The hero had been unable to move, leaning against the wall, but there were no visible severe injuries.
"Is it a Quirk that makes people unable to move if they have a wound?"
Midoriya roughly guessed this and became even more cautious not to get injured by the "Hero Killer." Even a small wound could end the fight.
The "Hero Killer" Stain was very tricky. It was Midoriya Izuku's first time facing such a strong opponent. This was different from his match with Todoroki Shoto; their strengths were not comparable.
Todoroki Shoto's strength lay in his Quirk, "Half-Cold Half-Hot," which could unleash terrifying ice and fire attacks, making him a human-shaped artillery.
Stain's strength lay in his skills and experience, honed through hard work and training. It was personal effort that made him strong.
Midoriya Izuku somewhat agreed with Stain's words that they were alike. Not in terms of beliefs or dreams, but in their fighting styles, both became strong through hard work and training.
Midoriya understood from his two exchanges with Stain that the Hero Killer's Quirk was actually not very useful. The enemy's strength came from his trained combat skills and experience.
Feeling regretful, Midoriya asked directly:
"Your skills were hard-earned through training... but you use them to harm pro heroes. Is it all worth it?"
"Of course it's worth it. It's all for a proper hero society!!"
"Unbelievable!!"
The brief conversation yielded no results. Midoriya Izuku retracted the steel wires from his gloves and rolled back the "Steel Anchor" that had fallen to the ground after colliding with the blade.
He had to capture the Hero Killer Stain. Midoriya Izuku couldn't let this person continue to kill other pro heroes. Today, he would do whatever it took to stop him.
Grabbing the Steel Anchor, Midoriya inserted it into the wall of the alley beside him. Facing the tricky Hero Killer, he had to give it his all. The third round of battle was ready.
"One last thing, All Might once said!"
Midoriya clenched his gloves and faced Stain, slowly saying:
"To deal with unreasonable enemies, use your fists to make them believe!!"
In an instant, both of them started moving. That sentence seemed to be the signal for the battle to begin. Midoriya Izuku and the Hero Killer charged at each other.
Stain threw a short blade, and Midoriya's steel wire intercepted it. As he charged at the enemy, the short blade was also thrown back at the Hero Killer.
Stain, jumping in mid-air, dodged the returning short blade. Holding a long blade, he spun in the air and slashed directly at Midoriya.
The steel wire net formed by Midoriya's fingers blocked the front. The blade and steel wire clashed, and metal sparks flew everywhere.
The action wasn't over. As Stain's body fell with gravity, he held a short blade in his other hand and slashed directly at Midoriya's face.
In an extreme dodge, Midoriya Izuku used the iron bridge stance to avoid the short blade's attack. At the same time, the steel wire net in his hand entangled Stain's long blade, using all his strength to throw him backward.
Midoriya's body, trained over the years, had the strength to throw a full-grown man. Stain, still holding the long blade, was thrown backward by him.
Knowing that the Hero Killer Stain couldn't dodge in mid-air, Midoriya turned and leaped, and the steel wire from his gloves swept towards Stain in mid-air.
However, the Hero Killer's combat experience was extremely rich. He kicked the alley wall, using the rebound force to adjust his posture and avoid Midoriya's steel wire attack.
At the same time, Stain didn't stop his actions. As Midoriya launched his attack, Stain threw the short blade. Midoriya couldn't intercept it with the steel wire and barely dodged his head. The short blade grazed past his face.
A blood mark appeared on Midoriya's face. He hadn't completely avoided the short blade attack, and Stain had cut his face.
Seeing the Hero Killer Stain's joyful expression, Midoriya Izuku felt a sinking feeling. He had been hit, but he didn't know what Stain's Quirk was.
However... nothing happened...
Midoriya was a bit confused. He had already been cut, so why hadn't the enemy's Quirk activated?
At that moment, the Hero Killer Stain made his move, charging at Midoriya again. Midoriya, now on high alert, quickly covered the enemy with steel wires.
Stain blocked the wires with his long blade. Realizing he couldn't get close, he gave up on approaching Midoriya and used the alley walls to jump over Midoriya's head, landing behind him.
"What!?"
Midoriya quickly turned to see Stain running towards his dropped short blade.
"Not good!!"
Midoriya suddenly understood Stain's Quirk: blade → wound → blood!!
The Hero Killer Stain's Quirk needed blood to activate. Midoriya figured it out.
As Stain was about to pick up his short blade, a steel wire quickly wrapped around the blade and pulled it back, catching Stain off guard.
"That was close..."
Midoriya, almost breaking into a cold sweat, now held the short blade. He had used the steel wire propelled by "King of Storms," a technique he had used in his fight with Todoroki.
"It seems you've figured out my Quirk, 'Bloodcurdle.'"
Stain turned slowly, thinking he could end the fight, but Midoriya's quick reaction surprised him.
"Your actions were too obvious!"
Wiping the blood from his face, Midoriya quickly thought about Stain's Quirk. The Hero Killer Stain's Quirk, "Bloodcurdle," allowed him to paralyze people by licking their blood, with the duration depending on their blood type.
