Capítulo 32: 10,000 Dollars

The whole audience stops and stares at Alexander. There has never been a bid that high before, not just here but like anywhere in the world, I'm assuming. The announcer looks around in shock, so flabbergasted that he doesn't know what to say.

"Alright... Uh the bid is 10,000 dollars going once." The announcer said probably hoping that this would be the end of the bid. I look towards Myers to see an angry look on his face. I shrug my shoulders to him letting him know I had nothing to do with this and that I'm sorry. He looks at me with a defeated face. Before the announcer continues, I consult with him.

"Sir... Can he bid that high Isn't there a law that prohibits this or something?" I asked him whispering.

He puts his hand on the mic to talk to me. "Sorry honey there isn't, Mr. Germani can bid however high he wants." The announcer uncovers his hand from the mic and continues with the bid.

"Going once going twice.... sold to Mr. Germani for 10,000 dollars." The crowds clap in awe and shock.

Alexander walks up to me and holds his hand out for me to grab it. Hesitantly I put my hand in his and stepped down from the stage.

The announcer goes on to say one more thing. "This is the highest bid we have ever had. Sir, what do you have to say?" The announcer leans the mic down to Alexander, he looks straight at me when he gave his answer.

"What can I say... I love puppies." I stare at him with a blank face, what do you say to that. He crowds gives him another cheer.

"Now let's move on to Ramona Wyndham." The announcer said continuing on. We both walk to the back of the venue so Alexander can pay. Once we get to the back, he hands the women his card and I give him a piece of my mind.

"What would give you the right to bid on me. Clearly you saw my boyfriend was obviously bidding on me." I pull on his jacket pocket so he would look at me.

"I will not apologize for bidding on you. If you boyfriend wanted you so bad then why not go higher?" He asked looking at me.

"Oh, let's see because an average Samaritan doesn't have upward to 10,000 dollars laying around." I told him enraged.

"Sorry I won fair and square. I'm done let's go." We walk back into the main part of the venue where everyone is at. Before we even took two steps Myer's comes up to us Immediately.

"Hey can I talk to my girlfriend." He said putting emphasis on the 'my' part.

"Sure. Don't take too long with my date." Alexander said mocking him by also putting emphasis on the 'my' part. Alexander walks off while I conversate with Myers.

Alexanders P.O.V.-

Leaving Quinneth with her boyfriend I walk off to go talk to Christian and Aren. He seemed pretty angry that I won her instead of him. In reality she belongs to me I am her true mate and she mine. She just doesn't know it yet.

"Dude what the hell." Christian said.

"10,000 dollars for a girl Alex. Your father is going to kill you then bring you back and kill you again." Aren said adding fire to the fuel.

"She isn't some girl. Plus, I couldn't stand that dog Myers winning her instead of me. It had to be done he needs to know where he stands."

"What are you going to do about your father?" Aren asked looking behind me. I turned around to see my father walking with a slight pace towards me. Anger written all over his face.

"You better figure it out quick." Christian said in a worried tone. Him and Aren walk off to the buffet leaving me with my father.

"Come with me." My father said angrily as he walked to the isolated part of the venue. I follow behind him.

"Are you crazy Alexander 10,000 dollars." My father said using his Alpha voice.

"I couldn't stand idle by while he took her from me, she's mine not his." I told him stepping closer.

"You're wrong she is his for the time being. You are aware of the danger that you put not only her in but the pack, the kingdom. I will not have you putting this in jeopardy because you're a love-struck wolf. Get it together." My father walked off into the crowed. God, he makes me angry. I turn around and punched the wall behind me, thank god no one saw that.

I walk back into the venue to see lover boy walking off angry. I smirked at this and walked over to her. I wonder what they talked about.

Quinneth's P.O.V.-

Alexander walks off to leave me and Myer's alone.

"Look I'm not apologizing for this. I can't control what happened." I told him.

"I know you can't it's just... he wants you. Can't you see that?" He asks me. His hands ball up in a fist as he looks over to Alexander. I turn around to see Alexander talking to most likely to be his friends. His girl friend looks over to me with curiousness. She looks me up and down taking me in.

"I... He doesn't want me Myer's he's just toying with you." I told him as I put my hands on his chest to try and calm him down. He moved my hands off his chest in haste.

"Are you going to go on the date with him?" He asked.

"Yes, I have to go he won the bid that's usually how a dating auction works." I told him.

"Fine, be with him." Myers said as he stormed off.

"Wait!" I tried to grab his arm, but he was already gone.

I can't believe this is happening.

"OK everyone all the contestants and their dates come to the center of the floor for a dance." The announcer says.

"Shall we?" Alexander holds his hand for me, I grab it and we head towards to the floor.

The band start to play a soft melody, the lights dim and it's just us and the movement. Alexander pulls me close to him and lays it hand on the small of my back and the other is holding my hand. We sway across the dance floor to the music. I distract myself by looking around at the other couples. The women all are talking to their dates or just looking around like I am. Alexander is very tall compared to my short stature so instead of looking over his shoulder I have to look around it. He notices this and looks down at me in confusion.

"What are you trying to do?" He asked me with a quizzical look on his face.

"Just observing the room." I told him craning my neck to look at him.

"How are you?" He said looking down at me.

"Fine. Why ask?"

"I just saw what went down with lover boy over there. He seemed angry just wanted to make sure you were alright." His eyes fill with worry. I've never seen this side of him so relaxed and sincere.

Usually, he's cracking jokes or being cocky. He truly cared, when Myers asks me it seems like he's making himself ask not acting like he really cares.

"Thank you for asking and I'm fine, I'm always fine." I told him. We stare at each other for a long period of time I start to analyze his face. He has bushy black eyebrows, a strong nose and plump lips. He has a sharp jaw and a clean shave. His eyes are what's more beautiful, they are a piercing grey with specs of black in them. A piece of hair falls out of place, I slowly reach up and tuck it behind his ear, he shutters at my gesture.

"It fell I just wanted to fix it." I said looking down as I blush.

"Thank you." He said with a smile.
