Capítulo 29: Chapter 29: Confrontation

As Aiden flew off in two directions at the same time he began to truly think on this ability. It was a weird sensation being at two places at once, but he was slowly noticing even now the sensation was slowly becoming like second nature.

His mind was adapting to accommodate this new ability. 'I wonder if I can split into more? If so how many can I create?' Aiden thought as he reached his tent.

It would be daylight shortly so they would be setting off soon, the day of the ambush had arrived, they would be reaching the ambush site just around Dusk.

It was why he had been so frustrated before, had he learned of everything sooner he would've had time to deal with Brynden Rivers and make it back in time. The issue was he also thought Tywin may change up his plans, changing the ambush location after telling Roose.

Tywin Lannister knew he had to be successful in accomplishing this mission or they would really be forced against a wall, so Aiden didn't put it past them to change their plans. Tywin wouldn't trust Roose to not give their plan away, not by speaking or telling the plan, but thru body language.

Roose was excited after all, the Bolton and Stark houses have been killing each other for years. Throughout history many Stark Kings had been skinned alive and the Boltons wore those skins as cloaks. There was a lot of hatred between the two, especially since the Stark family always won in the end.

As Aiden laid down, Flamebird joined him, waiting for first light to begin the journey, his other body flew high above the ground past the Wall and into the far north.

Aiden searched for the cave that Brynden Rivers, aka Bloodraven, was holed up in. He was a menace that needed to be dealt with, he was the ultimate player in the Game of Thrones, an evil one to boot.

Even before he took the title of "The Last Greenseer" his actions brought about the deaths of many. As Hand of the King he purposely waited to assist the Starks against the Greyjoys. Killed thousands of innocent people with wildfire, under the pretense of burning the dead bodies of those that had been killed with an epidemic of Great Spring Sickness early in Aerys' reign, rather than use regular fire, he used wildfire knowing it would go out of control and a quarter of Kings Landing was burned to the ground.

Then the Blackfyre rebellions, the first one, on the outside had no real catalyst to begin, no event really occurred to spark it, what really started it was Bloodraven practicing his dreamwalking to test its limits.

After influencing the second one Bloodraven killed Daemon II even after he had captured him which had basically stopped the war, all he had to do was keep him imprisoned until he died of old age and the rebellion never would've happened again. No lord of Westeros, Blackfyre loyalist or not, would've ever accepted Aegor naming Haegon as the King-in-Exile while Daemon II was alive. So Bryden waited a few years to let the loyalist build back up strength, then killed Daemon knowing it will start another rebellion.

The third Blackfyre Rebellion was much the same, he had captured both Haegon and Aegor Rivers and instead of imprisonment or even using shadow tactics to kill them, like faking an accident or having a lesser lord kill them which would've allowed him to bring the realm together, he tried to publicly execute both, thus becoming a kinslayer.

Bloodraven killed Haegon publicly on the battlefield after he had already surrendered, thus no Blackfyre loyalist would now ever surrender again from that point on, and Aegor he publicly tried to have executed but King Aerys overruled him and sent Aegor to the Wall, which he never made it and instead escaped to live in exile in Tyrosh. This showed the realm publicly that the Hand and King were not united and confirmed for everyone that Bloodraven was in fact a kinslayer.

Bloodraven knew that these would spark wars, even Roberts Rebellion was his doing which he had influenced before Robert was even born.

How? After taking the black, for killing Aenys after promising him Guest Rights, then becoming Lord Commander, he broke his vows and dissappeared, all of this as well as many other actions such as dark arts practice, and warging into humans, had gotten him cursed, he used the power of the Weirwood network to influence the albino woods witch.

It was he who gave the witch the visions "from the Old Gods" regarding "The Prince That Was Promised" prophesy to the Targaryen royal family and instructed them to wed Aerys II and Rhaella. He influenced the tournament at Harrenhal, and even killed King Robert by warging into the pig he was hunting in the original timeline.

These were but a few of the acts he did and Aiden knew the man was a dangerous scheming body-snatching trickster that needed to be delt with before he could sink his teeth into Bran even further.

He used Bran's hero worship to lure him in, portraying himself as a hero and wanting Bran to take up the role as the new hero of Westeros. He didn't even stop Bran from warging into Hodor, which is a taboo of the Old Gods as well, due to it is a violation of a persons mind and body.

Not to mention that it was Bloodraven who was bringing the Night King south, it wasn't until Brynden Rivers disappeared that the Night King began to start making moves to the south. He was sending visions to the Night King of his destruction, it was why he was after Bloodraven first before he went south to attack the Wall.

After the Night Kings defeat and his retreat to the Land of Always Winter, he stayed within his realm for thousands of years, not once attacking the Free Folk unless they came into his territory. But not long after Brynden had disappeared, all of a sudden the Free Folk began to migrate south and began to join forces.

So Aiden knew as long as Bloodraven was alive, there would never be hope of a stable kingdom after he dealt with those who were ruining the realm, he would continue to influence events to create chaos that would allow him to take over.

As he scanned the territory beyond the wall he finally located the cave, 'Got you, and just as I thought, now that he has recovered enough it looks like he is directing those Children to go capture human babies to recover. Can't let that happen.' Aiden thought to himself as he then dashed to the cave.

Inside the cave Bryden Rivers was just waking up from suffering the backlash from having his familiar killed, no longer did he look human, much of the magic and life force he used to look human was gone.

Now he looked like an undead, a skeleton with skin and one eye, long white hair and leathery skin. The Children of the Forest were terrified by his looks, they had seen the change happen with their own eyes. They had no idea what happened, all they saw was he was in the middle of warging, then he let out a deafening otherworldly scream suddenly and begin convulsing wildly, slowly he aged and went from a hearty old man to now looking as if he had been dead for a long time, which they thought he did.

That was until he opened his eye, he only had one after he lost his left eye in a duel long ago but had used magic and the lifeforce of those sacriced to replace the lost eye, so he had one red eye and the other was just an empty socket.

"Go, you must bring me as many babes as you can, the Night King is attacking the seal that we have worked so hard in placing on him." His voice was wraspy and sinister, full of hate and anger which sent chills down Leaf and the others spine.

"How is that possible? How many are you talking? He has already been sending his armies south so the humans are on high alert, it's not as easy for use to infiltrate their camps." Leaf said incredulously.

They hated doing such a task, especially since even after doing such acts the undead were still on the move, it made them begin to question their past actions.

"It doesn't matter, you must listen and do as your told, I am the Greenseer! You serve me and I must restore the seal. Death awaits all life if we do not take action, those are just Wights that are heading out of his territory, he is still trapped in his realm." Bloodraven replied as he tried to brush off their thinking with an excuse.

Leaf looked to her four other companions, they were the last of their kind, and according to tradition they were supposed to follow the orders of Greenseers. After years of following "The Last Greenseer" they were beginning to have doubts that he was really serving the Old Gods.

He had made himself the last Greenseer by killing the last of the Greenseers that lived on the Isle of Faces, it was what his familiar was doing on the island and had been a permanent resident after he used the raven to carve a spell circle that allowed him to kill and absorb the Greenseers and Children that stayed to protect the island.

Releasing a sigh of resignation Leaf turned to her fellow Children and said, "Styx you and Branch go to the south, Bark and Trunk go west, I will head north. On the way make sure to pick up the ingredients to perform the mass sleeping spell so that we can get into and out of the camps with ease."

The Children looked at each other with hesitation, if found out by the humans they would be making enemies of their own allies in the north. As it is now, the Free Folk and Giants respected them and never attacked them if they saw them, but it was getting to a point where their trust in them was beginning to waver.

Just as they were getting ready to leave a voice was heard that started all in the cave as it echoed throughout the cave.

"That won't be happening you lieing piece of shit, and if you five make any other moves I will wipe your race off this planet."

Bloodraven scowled and quickly shouted, "Its you! Kill him quickly! He is an agent of the Night King!"

Leaf and the others began to conjure explosive fireballs in there hands as they looked towards the source. As they saw Aidens figure enter, they launched their attack immediately.

The fireballs slammed into Aiden who just continued to walk forward, as if nothing was happening, the explosions caused the cave to quake as each hit. Terrified at realizing their magic wasn't hurting him, they tried to use earth magic to summon roots from the ground to stab him. Once again they hit him and crumpled as if they were nothing.

"Old man, it's like you just can't help yourself, can you? You have lied so much you believe your own bullshit. Before you die, I wonder if you will tell the truth or if you would continue your facade, or is it because you never saw this day coming that you continued to keep your act going?"

Seeing none of the Children were able to stop Aiden, Bloodraven's eye clouded over, a roar then came from deep within the cave. A large brown bear the size of a compact car and weighed at least a thousand pounds came charging at Aiden.

The ground shook with each step the bear took, scared by the sudden appearance of the bear the Children quickly moved out of the way.

Aiden just looked at the bear and continued forward, the massive bear swipped hard with it front right paw, its claws were as long as daggers and just as sharp. Just as it was about to slash Aiden, he grabbed the bears arm, stopping it in its tracks with ease.

Seeing this the bear quickly tried to use its left claw to attack which was once again stopped by Aiden, with his arms spread out holding both arms of the bear, Aiden came forward with a knee cracking the bear right under its jaw which caused the bear to stumble back in a daze.

"Always using the innocent to do your dirty work, eh?" Then looking at Leaf he asked, "Don't you know the saying Ravens aren't to be trusted? Obviously not since you have been following the "Three Eyed Raven" for many years. Now sit back and be good, I'll decide what to do with you after I deal with this lieing piece of shit. Otherwise I'll just exterminate you along with him, which would be justified considering the evil shit you have been an accessory to."

Leaf and her group quickly backed away and huddled together, as the bear began to take another charge at Aiden. This time it went in to try to crush him, not wanting to kill the bear since it wasn't in control, and unlike the raven from earlier he knew this bear wasn't as closely tied to Brynden, Aiden lept up at the last second and stomped down on the bears head rendering it unconscious.

Bloodraven was forced out of the bear and let out a frustrated yell. He was shocked by Aidens strength.

"It's been you! You are ruining everything, I have had to do so much to fix all that you have done, I was so close. But it's not over yet!"

Several roots from the Heart Tree then shot towards Leaf and the other's in an attempt to impale them, he was trying to sacrifice them to empower himself and use it to create a more powerful magic attack.

Seeing this the Children shivered in fright, closing their eyes, knowing they would not be able to react in time to stop it, they suddenly felt a heat unlike any they felt before.

Aiden used his heat vision to cut the roots that had been turned into barbed spears before they could stab into them, then flew forward and grabbed Brynden by the face, violently slamming his head into the dirt wall.

"Finally showing your true colors. Good. That makes things much easier. You wanted to play god, well let me show you what a real one can do. There won't be a peaceful afterlife for you, I will destroy your body and send your soul to the deepest part of hell where you will suffer for your crimes." Aiden said then pulled back his right fist which began to glow with a golden flame while his left hand which was holding tightly to Bloodraven's face also began to glow with the same flame.

Bloodraven let out a pained scream, then Aiden puched him in the chest and twisted as it entered his chest, Bloodraven began to burn, body and soul. His scream echoed far and wide.

Even the Free Folk near the area were suddenly awakened by the horrible cries, even after they ended, many moved away from the area swearing to never return.
