"Wrong don't confront a swordsman upfront his weapon has a much longer reach!" Saleen yelled out as she sent her student flying into the distance.
CRASH
Wyatt hit a wall and rolled on the ground before wobbling back onto his feet.
Barely catching his footing Saleen suddenly appeared before him attacking with a forward stab at his stomach. This time Wyatt pushed himself backward with wind and launched one of his chakrams forward covering it with lightning mana hoping to build some space he proceeded to use the chance to start running circles around his teacher waiting for an opportunity.
Saleen stood in the center while blocking her students rampage of flying chakrams effortlessly deflecting every attack with a simple swing of her sword.
Wyatt knew he had to find a way to distract Saleen so that he could find an opening.
Using both chakrams Wyatt chucked the first behind his teacher and followed up by covering the second with lightning before launching himself with a wind hop toward her. Before reaching Saleen he controlled the chakram on the floor behind her to attack her back while using his frontal attack hoping to force her to engage him in the front. Saleen noticed his plan and swung her sword forward while also creating a small wind wall behind her trying to block his sneak attack but unlike their first spar Wyatt had secretly covered his other blade in a thin layer of lightning allowing it to pierce through her wind wall. Granted this was far from Saleens strongest wind wall because she handicapped her mana so that Wyatt could have a better training experience
CLANK
As Saleen swung her sword forward Wyatt used the chakram in his hand to deflect her blade
Noticing the other chakram piercing her wind wall Saleen didn't have time to turn with her blade without many options Saleen used her flexible body to perform a matrix style dodge as the sneaking blade flew directly above her body.
Using this opportunity Wyatt grabbed his teachers sword arm with his free hand and used shock hands on her causing her to jolt her arm away from her body. Following the shock Wyatt slashed his blade at his teachers now open body finally he had an opening nevertheless right before his blade made contact Saleens arm extended toward him chest
WOOOSHH
Wyatt was sent flying backward by a large wind current that flew out of his teachers hand.
Readjusting her stance Saleen attempted to follow up by launching herself directly at her student but instead she fumbled forward barely catching her legs beneath her. Her eyes widened as she stopped and looked around Realizing a light pink hue lingering in the air around her. Earlier when Wyatt deflected her blade he started releasing his drowsy skill at the same time but because it was so light and Saleen was focused on dodging the sneak attack she hadn't noticed his plan. Saleen couldn't help but smile at her students plan to use all his elements in one series of attacks, if it wasn't for her being much stronger than Wyatt the pink gas would have had a much stronger impact on her body.
FOOSH
with a simple swing of the hand, a wind bubble expanded around Saleen clearing away all the gas in the vicinity.
Wyatt couldn't help but click his tongue at how easily his teacher removed his sleeping gas.
Without any more distractions Saleen launched herself suddenly appearing in front of Wyatt swinging poking her blade forward.
Caught off guard he attempted to step back leading to him tripping over something on the ground. Glancing down he was shocked to see the ground had extended upward creating a tiny wall.
"What did you think you're the only one with multiple elements?" Saleen laughed while controlling the earth beneath her to become uneven and shake.
Wyatt struggled to stand back up as she slashed downward with her sword toward his head he barely managed to roll backward away.
WHACK
"Wrong again!" Saleen shouted as her sword collided with the top of Wyatts head. Luckily for safety, she was using a dull blade so there was no blood or severe injury.
Stepping back from her student Saleen started another lecture
"First off never dodge backward against an open slash either move to the side or deflect it. Any capable swordsman will easily follow up his first swing with another forward attack your trying to run away backward is simply too slow" she stated.
Wyatt could only sigh and sit down listening as his teacher continued
"And second the most important point! Why have you only tried to use your element for offensive purposes?. You should have been using your wind element to slow down my swings throughout the entire fight." Saleen continued
"Sigh" Wyatt knew she was right but due to his inexperience, he still struggled with remembering to be more versatile with his wind.
Saleen continued her lecture for another 15 minutes pointing out all of his flaws as Wyatt listened attentively trying to memorize all his mistakes.
After the lesson Saleen forced Wyatt to wash up before he collapsed onto the same bed he slept on earlier. He passed out instantly exhausted from spars combined with the constant mana training throughout the day.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10 hours passed by quickly in game as Wyatt slept
FLICK
he was suddenly awoken by a strong impact on his forehead.
"How long do you plan to sleep? Hurry up and come eat breakfast"
Rolling over Wyatt started rubbing his groggy eyes before looking up into his teachers familiar giggling face.
Saleen cooked them a simple breakfast including some eggs and a funny looking meat that strangely tasted similar to beef. The rest of the morning passed by quickly as the two got a little bit of warmup practice going over the basics and her advice one more time before his match time approached.
After their warmup Wyatt changed his clothes and followed Saleen heading to the sword training field.
When the two of them opened the training areas door they could feel the gazes of the countless sword students turn toward them making Wyatts skin crawl. Although he wasn't nervous Wyatt wasn't used to such a large amount of attention so he felt a little awkward as people watched him and his teacher walk toward the center of the unfamiliar training field.
"HA Im surprised you didn't just run away" A voice suddenly snarked from beside him. This caused many sword students around to start laughing and murmuring amongst themselves
Turning around Wyatt eyes landed on the familiar Lukas walking toward him
"Why would I run away from my own challenge?" Wyatt replied casually rolling his eyes at his opponents ego.
"Tch, could have saved yourself the embarrassment of getting your ass kicked if you didn't show up" Lukas continued his trash talking.
"Sigh... we haven't even fought yet no one knows if ill be embarrassed like you say" Said Wyatt as he turned around focusing back on his teacher clearly he didn't care to talk to Lukas any longer
Seeing Wyatt disregard him Lukas was about to snap at him before a voice sounded out throughout the field
"Ah you're finally here welcome Saleen" Sir Lavon called out making his student move out of the way forming a ring around the group
