Capítulo 2: Just some game
"Wy, time to wake up!"
"mmmm" waking with a yawn, Wyatt rolled over in his bed stretching before rubbing his eyes and looking at his alarm clock.
"9:13 am"
Usually, he would have been awake by now, but since the school was canceled due to primal online he let himself sleep in. Getting out of bed, Wyatt went on to do his usual morning routine of brushing his teeth and a shower before heading downstairs for breakfast.
Walking into the kitchen he could already smell the bacon currently being cooked on the stove making his stomach rumble from anticipation.
"Morning Wy" Wyatt's mother said with a kind smile.
"WYWY GOMORNING" the twins shouted together as he entered the kitchen. As always, they are always full of energy ready to give Wyatt a headache before his day has even started.
After having a quick breakfast of an egg, bacon, and some toast Wyatt quickly washed up because he knew his mother wanted to leave before the roads got busy. Although some jobs were given the day off sadly Wyatt's father wasn't, so the trip would just be for the 3 kids and Wyatt's mother. After finally wrestling the twins into their car seats, they were finally ready to leave almost 15 minutes later.

The drive ended up being a lot shorter than expected since they didn't account for the number of people who would be at home trying the new game. This morning, Wyatt's mother told him that they would be sleeping over at his aunt's house which he wasn't very excited about since it meant he couldn't study for an entire day maybe two.
After driving for roughly 30 minutes, they could be seen pulling up into his aunt's driveway.
Wyatt aunts husband was a farmer who inherited some land right outside the city. Since it wasn't far from the city the family didn't suffer from any of the typical stereotypes people might expect of them, such as the farm smell or having a funny accent.
"Julie!" A woman with short light brown hair shouted as their car pulled into the driveway.
"Emmy!" Wyatt's mother Julie shouted back white running to hug her sister. It wasn't long before both women had massive grins on their faces, as they hugged and caught up with each other. Unlike his mother who rushed ahead, Wyatt took his time getting out of the car before helping both Mia and Miles undo their booster seats.
Both the twins love visiting the farm because they had plenty of room to run around without bumping into anything. Not long after, the two children could be seen sprinting around the farm pretending to be some sort of superheroes putting a smile on the faces of the two older ladies.
His relatives inherited land wasn't anything massive being only roughly an acre maybe less but it was plenty for a small family of 3 to open a stall in the city while still having some leftovers for themselves.
"Cmere little wy" Aunt Emma stated, before pulling him into a completely expected massive hug which she gives him every time they meet. "You just keep getting taller every time I see you" his aunt continued as she attempted to pat his head despite being nearly a foot shorter than him. having finally succeeded only after having to tiptoe.
"Aunt Emma it's only been a couple of months, it's impossible for me to grow that quickly" rolling his eyes at his aunt's joke Wyatt responded.
"by the way aunty, where is Malcolm I haven't seen him yet?" Said Wyatt while he was looking around to find his cousin.
He didn't bother asking about her husband because he knew the game wouldn't affect him opening his stall today so he would probably be home around dinner time.
Malcolm is a couple of years older than Wyatt, being in his second year of uni he didn't follow in his father's footsteps to inherit the farm instead choosing to study teaching. Not that either of his parents minded since he was enjoying what he did.
"oh he should be back soon, he said that he was going to grab one of those new uhh VR machine thingys from a friend of his so that he can try a new game later" Wyatt's aunt replied still giggling at the excited twins.
Less than 15 minutes later, Malcolm's car could be seen pulling into the driveway.
"Hello Aunty Julie, you're looking as beautiful as always" Malcolm always being one to flatter instantly went for the compliment putting a smile on the face of Wyatt's mother.
Malcolm shared many of his mother's features including hair color, although it couldn't currently be seen due to him having shaved his head after losing a bet with some friends from his college dorm. Although he wouldn't confess what the bet was Wyatt already knew he probably lost a drinking game again.
"Yo Wyatt, help me carry this thing inside" Malcolm called him over while opening his trunk revealing a massive White rectangular box which seemed to be glittering all over with bright gold lettering saying "Tinker VR system".
Wyatts eyes widened, while looking at the clearly over the top fancy box.
"Well, the box definitely looks expensive huh?" he mumbled to himself thinking it was a waste of money.
Hearing his cousin's words, Malcolm smirked while replying "ha wait till you see what's inside I swear it looks like something out of one of those space movies".
Ignoring his cousins confident grin, the two got to work carrying the much heavier than expected box inside.
Not long after, the two had the machine up and running in Malcolms room and even Wyatt had to admit he was right even the fancy white box didn't do any justice to the weird space ship looking machine that was now installed in front of him.
The almost full black metallic looking exterior with a completely see-through cover displaying a holographic screen so that players could keep track of their health and playtime. It would be an understatement to say the console didn't fit in with the farm aesthetic of the rest of the home.
"ill hop in first, I have an event with some friends later anyways so you can try it when I leave" Malcolm said while hoping into his new system without waiting for a reply from Wyatt.
Although the fancy machine caught Wyatts attention, he still had no idea about Primal online so he wasn't in any hurry to try it since it's just some game anyways. Instead choosing to pass his time helping his aunt with some housework and cooking lunch, before eventually chasing his little siblings around to get them clean.
Just like that, 4 hours passed and it was time for Malcolm to meet up with his friends. Wyatt watched as Malcolm tried to stand up after turning the machine off leaving him wobbling in place clearly dizzy from his earlier experiences.
"Phew, maybe I played too long for my first time I feel like I'm going to puke" he stated while taking a seat and wiping his forehead so that his body can readjust. It didn't take long before he was up and ready to leave"
Aunt Emma hugged him before he left "drive safe also don't drink too much"
"Ill probably sleep at the dorm tonight since ill be in the city anyways so don't worry mom" he stated while hugging her back before turning to Wyatt and giving him a silly thumps up gesture.
"Have fun" Malcolm laughed as he got in his car and left the home.
Having nothing else to do but kill time Wyatt headed toward his cousins room before starting the system.
Sitting in the weird capsule like system, Wyatt got fully adjusted before shutting the top.

"Full body scan initiating"
suddenly a robotic female voice could be heard in his head.
beeep.... beeeep...beeeeeeep...
"Scan complete"
"Name: Wyatt Hayes Age: 16 Height: 5'11 Weight: 146 lbs"
The Ai voice continued to list Wyatts features from his weight to his shoe size and hair color leaving him impressed with the speed and accuracy of the device which took less than a minute to complete the full body scan.
"Only one game currently available"
"would you like to launch Primal Online?" asked the female AI voice
Without thinking much about it Wyatt clicked "YES".
