"Tower master Quinn, do you think he will succeed?" The young students' arms were fidgeting in excitement while watching Wyatt's trial of endurance.
Rolling his eyes Quinn replied "Alan, it's only been 10 minutes since he started the trial I already told you to have some patience"
"..... I know sir, but we have never had a recruit with a 5 star mana score before so I can't help getting excited" Alan responded, rubbing the back of his head with his hand.
"Sigh, you already know that the endurance trial isn't that simple. Depending on that boy's performance you could be waiting over an hour for his score, so there's no point stressing over it"
"Yes, Tower Master! I still remember my own trial of endurance, I lasted an hour and 7 minutes before calling it quits" The boy nodded
"An hour? Hmm, I guess you got 3 stars that's not bad for the trial of endurance" Quinn mumbled to himself before being interrupted
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
"The doors are unlocked, Just come in!" he shouted
Gently opening the door Quinn's assistant appeared holding a tray of food
"Sorry to interrupt your work lord Quinn, I've brought your tea and an afternoon snack"
Smiling at his assistant Quinn gestured her over to his desk "No need to apologize Meriam, you can just leave the tray on the corner of my desk. I'll eat after I finish up these documents"
Thanking his assistant and waving her goodbye, Quinn took a sip of his tea before glancing back to Wyatt's display.
"Sigh, if only his last trial wasn't this..." he muttered before quickly refocusing on the work in front of him.
Most people who attempt the trial of endurance enter with the thought that all they need is good stamina in order to succeed but they couldn't be further from the truth. With no guidelines written in the test information, all challengers are left with the only option of trudging forward through the illusionary desert before them.
Such a harsh environment can easily destroy a person's mind long before their stamina ever runs out. Unlike Talent or physical training, an Individuals mental determination is extremely difficult to improve, especially for the young like those taking the towers trials.
Because of this fact, Myroc's trial of endurance actually had the lowest average score with most challengers only receiving 2 stars.
This was the reason that despite witnessing Wyatt's talent firsthand, Quinn couldn't help being slightly pessimistic.

Returning back to the desert of dreams Wyatt was slowly making his way forward.
Trudging along, Wyatt could already feel the sand slowly filling his shoes as he sank deeper into the sand with every step.
As he stopped to empty out one of his shoes, Wyatt once again used his shirt to wipe the sweat on his face forming due to the blazing sun above.
Since he didn't have a watch, Wyatt could only predict how much time had passed through his body's natural feelings and assumptions.
A little over 15 minutes had passed if his calculations were correct. At first, Wyatt was more concerned about wasting too much time in the trial, but after he thought it through he remember that the first 2 rounds of trial challengers only lasted a couple of hours at most so he wasn't worried.
Another reason Wyatt wasn't worried was that during his time in the library, he already learned that the kingdom of Zigural doesn't have any deserts.
Putting these facts together with the introduction to the trial, Wyatt already assumed that this was just some kind of illusion created to push his limits. His real body was most likely still lying on the ground somewhere waiting for him to wake up.
Of course, his theory was further strengthened during his attempts to use mana. During his experiments, he realized not only could he not use any mana, but also that he couldn't feel mana anywhere in his body or the environment around him.
With these thoughts already at the back of his head, Wyatt continued his journey forward.
20 minutes quickly passed
"hu..huff, my legs are starting to feel sore" Wyatt muttered
Deciding to take a small break, Wyatt sat down against a large sand dune and started massaging his legs.
"I wonder how long this trial will last" he thought out loud to himself.
After a quick rest of massaging and stretching his legs, Wyatt once again continued the harsh trek forward through the desert.
Another 30 minutes flew by as Wyatt continued his journey.
At this point, he had long since lost track of any possible passing of time. Whether an hour passed or only 30 minutes, It didn't matter since he didn't even know how long the trial was supposed to last.
If he did happen to have access to a watch, Wyatt would've been surprised to learn that he had already been walking for almost 70 minutes.
Thinking back, Alan the mage apprentice managed to last a total of 67 minutes before finally giving up, and receiving a 3 star score.
Wyatt on the other hand was still far from his mental limit.
Ever since he was little Wyatt never had any problems sitting for long hours daily for his studying, or even spending a long time completing tasks that others often considered boring or mundane.
Without him paying any attention to it, his straightforward "get things done" attitude had actually been slowly strengthening his mental resolve through the years.
Now with his physical body boosted through his stats, Wyatt was having little difficulty with the trial of endurance. Although admittingly, the biggest problem was that he was starting to get extremely bored.
Roughly 10 minutes later, Wyatt had passed through the 1 hour and 20 minutes threshold, meaning that if he decided to give up right now he would receive a score of 4 stars. This score would then bring his average down to 4 after rounding.
"Sigh, this is boring should I just give up?" Wyatt complained to himself while yawning
Far away from our main lead, inside the tower master's office, an annoyed tick appeared on the head of Quinn who could hear the boy's words through his display.
