Sinopse
At 24 years old, Yang Yujia is an unemployed art major, living off heavy debt and instant noodles. During a high-school reunion, Yujia gets drunk, does stupid things, and when she wakes up again, Yujia is no longer in the correct world, time-period, or body.
Unfortunately, as a transmigrator, Yujia does not seem to have much luck either— instead of transmigrating with a set of stunning martial arts skills, knowledge that would aid her in troubling situations, or a position of royalty that would make her life much easier, Yujia is the fourth (illegitimate) daughter of a small merchant. And what skills does she have to help her survive this world?
A pretty face, witty mouth, and useless artistic talent?
Good enough.

Escreva uma avaliaçãoWriting Quality: 5 stars. This novel has some good grammar (not perfect) but far above webnovel standards. Author draws the line before the writing becomes over descriptive (though I have no problem with that). In a nutshell, the writing isn't verbose and anyone can enjoy this writing with immense satisfaction. Oh, Grammar Nazis can jump in without any fears. Story Development: A solid five stars. This is a slow paced story. When I say slow, it's extremely slow. And I like it. There is enough room for slow burn romance, mystery and sad flashbacks of past too. Notable points: 1. Since the author is an artist, and the story is about a troubled artist, you'll find lots of art and principles of art. You can see the author's love for art in here. Though I can barely draw a stick man, I enjoyed reading everything...from art principles to struggles of artists. 2. This story does not fall in 'the boy and girl meet and they fall in love' category. It's more like the boy and girl meet...and meet...then talk, fight, talk, maybe flirt a little...and this goes on till the day one of them has a sudden enlightenment. There is beauty in slow romance. Watching two flawed characters beginning to trust and love is more believable and memorable. We're 200 chapters in and there are barely a few hints of the upcoming romance. So, don't expect a kissing scene any time soon. You're bound to be disappointed. However, if you happen to enjoy slow burn romances, then this is the one for you. Character Design: 5 stars. There's a great character development going on...and you're not going to find any cardboard cut characters here. They make mistakes, they learn...and you'll feel as if you're invading their minds. Author does a beautiful job with her characters and you'll see each leaving their unique mark on the story. World Background: 5 stars. The setting is a fictional dynasty forged with elements of ancient China. Author did her research and her enthusiasm is reflected when she writes about antiques and relics. Stability of Updates: 4 stars. Given the solid work, I think author is doing a good job with her update schedule.
This is so good. I like that the Mc is not overpowered. I like how realistic this is. I like that the Mc is not some overrated assassin or doctor. The writing feels very real.
Writing Quality: Excellent! The humor is there and despite not seeing much of it, it does make an impact in my mind even after reading to the current chapter. Updating: Don’t know quite well since I read the whole book in just under 12 hours to the current chapter. Story Development: I rated this a five though I don’t think there is a story development besides her slowly making progress to achieve her first goal. *Ahem* Not giving any spoilers. But anyway, it deserves a higher score. Character Design: I feel like the characters have a mind of their own rather than the regular prideful characters that are one sided. As Yujia progresses in the story, she shows a sign of change after transmigration. Not just change but her mindset also does in a good way. I’m surprised that this story has a good impact towards promoting Chinese webnovels since most Chinese webnovels tend to lean to the extreme version of flat characters even if there is no romance in the plot ie. racism, pride, arrogance, narrow-mindedness. I hope I’m not wrong about Yujia though. She’s a good character. World Background: I still don’t have a grasp on this kind of category but I do realize that the story does explain the setting of Yujia’s current life in a short explicit manner. It’s a good story and just mentioning what period of time Yujia is roughly living in is a good sign for readers to catch on to the traits of why things happen the way it happens. Note: This deserves a 5 star because it’s well written. Though I may have overlooked some errors (even if there was little to none), it’s a great book. I recommend reading this to pass time.
This story definitely does NOT follow the cliches of an ancient chinese transmigration novel and I truly respect that. Not only is the MC very relatable and realistic, she has unique flaws that make her seem like a real person in our everyday life. The rest of the characters, especially the male leads, were extraordinarily written. It’s not as if they were just another version of some other character in another book; the characters have a true personality to them that makes them stand out and can never be compared to the endless list of personas in the other cliche novels. The plot is very interesting, as the MC has a goal that does not connect to any common novels. The antagonist, in my humble opinion, is not an individual but rather the entirety of society norms. If you want to read a book about an independent and relatable main character and includes topics of feminism, sexism, and theories about morals– this is the book for you!
I love this story and I'm amazed that the author herself designed the cover for the book! The main character has flaws, but it's understandable. And although she is arrogant, she can admit to get faults and use things to her advantage with the best of her ability. She is pretty hardworking if she has a goal in mind, di I like that about just too. I'm pretty sure who the ML is, but it's merely just the beginning, so we can't be too sure of that~ To the author: Is the real 4th mis in the MC's original body? If so, will there be parts or maybe a new novel about her life?
As of this review, 200 chapters have been posted. The quality of the writing is definitely on the higher spectrum as compared to other originals. I have no complaints about the grammar or the vocab. It definitely deserves its spot on the power ranking. The story itself is very fun. Each chapter makes you look forward to the next one. The author has such a knack in storytelling that you’d end up wanting to know more. If you’re here for romance, you might need to get comfortable. 200 chapters in and the most romance we’ve seen is the characters possibly crushing on one another. This shows that the author wants to stay true to the [Slow Romance] tag as it is indeed very slow. I daresay that the focus of the novel leans more towards character development and self-actualisation, or slice-of-life, rather than romance. The protagonist, Yang Yujia, transmigrated into the body of a young miss from a small merchant family from a different time period, and while she had difficulties adapting, she slowly begins to find her place in the world while learning more about herself and the person she became. My favourite thing about this story is the protagonist’s growth. She started as an egotistical and stubborn loner who refused to accept criticism, and slowly she opens herself up and changes her way of thinking, becoming more accepting and less stubborn, which allowed her to foster positive relationships with other people. The progress or the plot might not be as dynamic or bombastic as other transmigration stories, but this novel has its own irresistible charm. The peacefulness of the story mixed with a little bit of comedy and a pinch of seriousness makes PUAY a unique piece compared to other stories. Great Work, Author Yao!
It stands true to its tag, slow romance. I actually am not a fan of the tag but the beauty in it is that, the story developed realistically between the male and female lead (if I’m right about who they are). It made me rethink about the usual novels that I read where people just love each other after just one or two encounters, and the characters in this book are very complex; it is very hard to tell what they truly feel and that in itself, made them very humane in their decisions, no armors worn. I like how unique this book is compared to any novels, since it does not follow what is expected from its genre. Although it is historical, it even served as a tool in enhancing the issues encountered by modern artists.
This story is so relatable in life. Shit happens for no fault of yours and I just love how most of the scenes relates with me so well. This novel keeps me hooked up every time it is updated.
Revelar SpoilerThis novel is to good! First of all, the main character is smart and funny. She also has very realistic emotions. Anyone can relate to this. I also love that the author is does not lock the chapters and has a steady uploading schedule. The writing is impeccable for Webnovel standards and the backgrounds of some of the characters just made me tear up. Especially the story about Yuiga’s (sorry if I misspelled her name, I am kind of rushing this review) master and how his wife died. I hope that our female lead’s story doesn’t end like that. Alright, love you author! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Keep updating! 😫😩🤗🥺😍😊🤓🤩😖😂😁😀😃😆😄😅
Revelar SpoilerThe story is great and fun. It surely stirs up your emotion and challenge your world views... Author-san please keep up the good work. Thank you for your patience and determination in writing.
Its unique and at the same time simple well its still early to say that but its easy to read, no complicated plots to overthrow someone, no face slapping. So far i'm loving it, thank u dear author💕
I chanced upon the first edition on the light reader app, something I only use as an epub reader but reading the synopsis made me want to read the book and I couldn't help but seek out this reading platform which I had otherwise ignored until now. That's how good the book is. The characters are relatable, there are lessons to learn, laughs to cackle. The light yet solid aura of the story is charming and the author's writing style encouraged my mind to view the characters. I mean I'm a sucker for most things set in historical East Asia but I can already see this as a Drama. Yao Yueyi, well done on this piece. I think you're a wonderful witer with potential. Try to work on conveying your message with more concise statements It'll help greatly. Overall, it's been a wonderful experience with this book. On to the next edition!
I like the speed of drama developing in the story. I also liked that the writer doen’t focus only in the romantic issue in this story. This novel us my favorite so far in this site.
The story is great and very realistic. This reminds me of kdrama with a male painter the MC. It'll realistic with dramatic vibes and you can tell how much importance the author places on art. I also learned a few things because of that. Like what the author said, the characters aren't perfect and they all have their flaws which ia great and makes them more human. There are backstories which also builds an impression about them. I have read 'Kill the Vilainess' and just like in this novel, the maid who has watched as her lady grew up had noticed that the lady was different, from her morning habits to her wordings and actions. she also asked the million dollar question of who are you. Overall, I like this book and have added it to my library.
Why is this novel not in the Top 10 really amused me. Super grateful to the Author...for such a great story! Detailed but fast-paced enough; believable even if it is about transmigration; realistic in the character building and especially the romantic relationship. Oh and really good English...not perfect but definitely above most other novels. ❤❤❤ Much Love!
the story is quite good, quality is fine.i like how i end up thinking that i am also inside yujia's world....faster updates would be better.
This is seriously my favourite book and the only reason why i have not yet deleted this app because i love this book so much that you can not even begin to fathom. everything is extremely realistically written yet its so eloquent and the pacing is fine with near perfext blends if comedy, romance, mystery and adventure. P.S. TEAM ZIXU ALL THE WAY
I really like “Power up, Artist yang!” Because of how unique and interesting it is. In a lot of these thoe of reincarnation stories, the FL never seems to have any flaws and are good at everything, they are either super smart, or warriors or docters, it sometimes get boring. However, i’ve never read a story where the FL is an artist and actually has flaws, or emotions. the other stories seem like they are not actually real, but this one makes you feel like she is a friend, who you can on adventures with. Though at first she may seem very bad and have many flaws, she learns and changes from her experiences. It’s really funny and has quiTe aBiT oF ROmaNce. hehehe, which is why i like it so much. i’m telling you, ReaD It!!!! ( me shamelessly promoting this, lmao. but seriously READ IT!!!!!!!) Team Zixu forever!!! [img=update][img=recommend]❤️🥰😍🥰😘
Revelar SpoilerI only discovered this story recently but I have read until the last update. It was different from most of the transmigration novels because the FL is not overpowered, not a genius doctor or agent. This made the character relatable. The romance is slow and I felt like the author likes to tease the readers but this made the story more realistic. The mystery also keeps me reading every chapter. This is a very great read for me.

Author review 3.0 b/c my old one was outdated yet again! Things that will be in this story... 1) Late romance. Romance plays a big deal later on in the story, but for the first 100, it'll be somewhat minimum. 2) No OP MC! Yujia is very flawed. She makes mistakes and she learns from them, like everyone else in life. Wrong things that she does at one point doesn't mean that she'll keep doing that b/c she's not dumb. She's just learning. 3) Drama/face slapping will all be kept to the minimum. You won't find a lot of it here, but there might be a few occasional moments where it does happen. 4) Friendship amongst female characters. This is kind of rare in Webnovel, so I wanted to make sure that I included it. Not every female character other than the FL is an antagonistic character. 5) Lots of art scenes. This is the story of an artist, at it's very root, so you can definitely expect lots of painting. 6) Royalty! 7) Lots & lots of character development, for everyone, not just the FL or ML(s). Side characters all have their own backstories. 8) Slice-of-life, but not filler chapters. I don't think that filler chapters should exist & is a sign of bad writing. You might think that one or two chapters aren't necessary to the story, but I promise that it's all evidence of the FL's progression of character. 9) Slightly slow paced story. It's not slow to the point where it drags, but the first 50 chapters or so aren't super fast paced b/c I'm still working on developing the world. The chapters later on should be much, much faster paced & exciting! 10) Decent writing. I'm not saying that it's 100% perfect, & I'm still working on editing, but in Webnovel standards, I think I have fairly good grammar & vocabulary choice! Generally, chapters should be between 700-2.5k words, which is a huge range, but sometimes, some chapters just need to be shorter, and others need to be longer. I don't know how exactly long this novel should be, but it should be 300+ chapters. That's my current prediction! Beware of the plot twists. :) That's about all I can think of for now! Hope you all enjoy reading this novel, & please do leave a review/comment if you did <3 --Yueyi
